The only downside are those cigarette style cellophane packs can be so hard to open without damaging the cards! And of course the good cards are locked away behind the most difficult risky packaging :)

2024-07-03 00:59:15 +0000 UTCI taught 2 kids MTG. For both I used Core sets and incorporated my older cards with less mechanics- where the creatures were simple and did not do xtra stuff. New core sets contain reprints where they still have complex mechanics. But you could use Bloomburrow as well. That way they only have to learn the mechanics for that set. But I've found that challenging because even common creatures so SOMETHING else. Another option are the old planeswalker decks. As they get a handle on that deck, then you can start introducing new cards/sets.

The amount of hatred that was used against me for leaving pokemon boxes available for months was off the chart. Constant people posting public screenshots of how "ovepriced" pokemon was due to market prices swinging post release. Moving forward all boxes are offered at release and then thats it. i keep all remaining until they sky rocket.

I haven't played in many years, but I was thinking the animal theme of Bloomburrow might suit them. On the other hand, a new core set is coming in a few months, and the mechanics will be undoubtedly simpler. What do you think? Go with the animals, or wait a few months and go with the easier to learn Foundations set?
