Back in Business

Hello everyone,

Sorry for the long wait. My 4090 ended up being repaired. Turns out it wasn't the cable, but the power delivery logic on the board itself was fried. It was pulling 300W at idle, and trying to pull as much as the PSU would allow under load. This led to tripping the PSU and also melting the cable.

It's been rendering the next video since I got it back and so far so good. So touch wood that I don't have any more problems.

There will be new content with Claire ...

4090 is Dead

Hey guys. I've been suffering from random shut downs for a while and recently discovered the cause. It appears I wasn't able to avoid the infamous melting cable on my 4090.

No matter what course I take with warranty (I live in the southern hemisphere), repair or insurance claim it's going to take weeks to sort out..

I've got spare 30 series cards but the scenes I was busy with are pretty heavy so I don't think I can actually render them in any decent time frame.

I'll kee...

My Status

I just wanted to let you all know I'm going into hospital today, and will probably have surgery tonight, or sometime this weekend at the latest. I don't like to message you all about this but I felt it necessary since I have a few big projects in the works and I haven't released anything of substance in a while.

Hey guys, hope you're all doing well. The "quick" facehugger video was delayed outside of my control and with the extra time I added an additional scene. I'm busy finishing the audio work now and then there are a few things animation wise I need to fix (Like Scarlets hands and collarbone, yikes). And then still need to finish the creature sound effects.
