Great thoughtful topic too. If you limit the LGS distribution supply with only a slight markup from other collector boxes and then allow greater supply through Amazon at a significant markup it effectively subsidizes the LGS box value with less chance of a crash. WOTC can keep box numbers low to maintain their bottom line while also maintaining box value. The interesting thing about this product is the Collector Box value is almost purely placed on the variants and a few reprints as you can get close to a complete set with the Commander set. We have yet to see what WOTC does as the product gets close to the end of its lifecycle. Will they offload the remaining stock at distribution rate over a long period, dump it quick in order to squeeze the remaining value, or will they eliminate unsold product because they made their profit upfront and don't want to water down interest in other product?

Hey 👋 welcome to the community! Rudy mainly sells collector boxes on release. Same thing goes for the play boxes for future sets. You can order whatever the amount for draft that you signed up for. You just need to send Rudy money through PayPal and add the note what it’s for. Shipped takes a day or so and roundtrip for in hand is like a weekish.

great question! - Yes normal stores had no cuts if they receive a normal quantity of 6-180 boxes. the top 1% of stores who get 1,000+ boxes like me....did get a 35% cut :-) I hope that helps

I have listened to a few store owners talking about how their Temporal Forces allocations for booster boxes did not seem to be cut at all after hearing there would be. Did you find this true with your allocations as well??

Seems waaaaay too good to be true. I suspect the EV calculator they are using might not be accounting for the number of slots in a pack. Packs have a commons to R/M slots ratio of 10 to 1. In the set there's 117 Commons and 80 R/M, a ratio of ~1.5 to 1. So if they average the prices with the ratio of 1.5 to 1 it makes the EV much higher than the true pack EV.

great question! The ONLY Draft box that is NOT out of print is Ixalan. No other Draft boxes are being reprinted ever. BUT...dont get excited....Wotc has a reserve supply of all recent sets and until those dry up and flush out of distribution, i dont expect any major upticks. It will be another 1-2 years to flush all of 2021-2023 era stuff.

They are not a "distributor" and i dont have any information on those guys. So i cant comment on the actions of what they are doing with Sorcery. Metazoo struggled all the time for years on delaying releases and not following through on things. In the end, they disappeared and took money from pre-orders and didnt pay people. What management of Metazoo did was truely awful on all levels. If i had known the true colors i would NEVER carried there product line.

Rudy... With how team covenant still has sorcery boxes at MSRP... Do you think you will ever be acquainted with them enough to be a distributer similar to them? Weren't you intimate with metazoo and able to assist with their releases? Sorcery must see your sell through rate on the products you sell and know your valuable knowledge base on selling cardboard rectangles. Just would be cool to order from you rather than someone else.

great question....i was working on getting play boosters for $110-$112 shipped on all sets moving forward. Then Karlov manor came out and i received so many messages about "$99 play boxes" due to people not realizing that is NOT a real shipped price. I have halted all negociation and progress on play boxes until further notice. It was looking like all play boxes for patrons could be around $112-$116 shipped indefinitly, but that has been canceleed at this time.
