Rudy's Opinion - Tonight we have a "specialty" pokemon release. This means, it is a pokemon set that does NOT have normal booster boxes.

"Specialty" pokemon sets are a weird product release that happens around 1-2 times per year.

History shows very unpredictable pricing on "Specialty" sets like this.

The last 3 Specialty Releases (Crown Zenith / Pokemon GO / Shining Fates) both remain flat. They have not tanked or spiked in price. Granted these items had major reprints during the covid spike and experienced a strong sell off in the bear market.

The 4th previous Specialty Release was Champions Path and that product has increased 200% in 2 years.

This reinforces that NO ONE can predict market swings but diversification and long term patience continue to prove successful with the Pokemon Brand.

I love the concept that "BAD" pokemon products still hold steady, while good ones get pushed up.

I think that is a beautiful risk/reward setup for lovers of the pokemon brand.
