It's still a pretty introductory chapter, but I hope you’ll enjoy the premise I'm setting up.

We haven’t seen much of the professor yet, but I felt like this was the right place to end Chapter 1 (building that tension slowly😈).

I haven't found the perfect cover for this story yet (maybe I'll do a poll later, who knows? 🤔)

My perfectionist side tells me I could've improved the second conversation between Matteo and Martina (maybe taking longer to convince her, showing more emotions etc) but I didn't want to make you wait another day while I deleted and rewrote the same conversation over and over because it wasn't "perfect"😅

P.S. When Matteo said "Remember when you decided to study abroad? Everyone said it was too hard" I couldn't help thinking "the only thing too hard Martina has experienced in America involves a different kind of studying😏"
