Rudy's Opinion - The weiss market is finally showing positive signs on stabilizing from all the releases and supply crash from the last 12 months. Many Weiss cases have recovered from last year.
We are starting to see signs of a couple sets becoming very profitable. (Bofuri/Quintup/Hololive/JoblessRein/RentAGirl/TokyoRevengers)
I have become increasing positive on the supply/pricing data on many sealed weiss boxes. At this point in time, all stores who firesold at a loss have done so. All investors/collectors who over-ordered have dumped and quit.
I personally believe we are in a special moment in time with low print runs and almost NO ONE INVESTING IN SEALED BOXES. We have a good chance of above average returns in the coming years. I remain bullish on Weiss.
IMPORTANT WEISS MARKET INFORMATION BELOW
Please use extreme caution when seeing a couple of the sellers on tcgplayer selling at a loss on weiss boxes. I am not going to sell new release products at a loss. The average store cost is approx $55 a box. It is common practice for some stores to open a case and hunt the SP card and dump the loose boxes at below cost on tcgplayer.
In addition, supply of all weiss boxes has been cut and reduced by the manufactorer moving forward. Normally i would get a couple pallets worth and keep it in stock for 24 hours.
I get 1 pallet of each set now.
I dont expect any Weiss sale to last longer than 1-2 hours.
The days of higher supply have ended.

2022-12-13 04:54:45 +0000 UTCAgreed. I wish an active investor would step in and try to break off WOTC from Hasbro corporate. WOTC needs to be on their own without the Hasbro suits mucking things up. If I had enough money to buy WOTC, one of the first things I do is un-ban all the vintage old MTG cards WOTC did in 2020 and bring back Terese Nielsen to do more awesome artwork :-)

Makes no sense when the company is making awful decisions with overprinting and reprinting all the chase cards in every past set. Example: rivals of ixalan is down over 20% cause they're reprinting all the chase cards in the set booster list slots. Could create some insane opportunity down the road though so I'm still gonna keep a look out for the Amazon dumps. Something could always shift at wizards down the road too.
