Thanks for replying. The 270 pricepoint is looking pretty solid moving forward and I don't think we will ever see much below that again.

I'm absolutely concerned that one of the few LGS's I ordered from might cancel my orders and Even at $270 per box, that would bring my average cost for my collector booster boxes to $250. Not to mention no tax, no shipping, and 2% back on my CC makes this closer to a MSRP of $250 if sold by any other vendor anyway.

None of the above, I wasn’t expecting this kind of shortage. I thought I would be able to wait for Rudy’s sale and get the best price. I honestly thought Rudy would be able to match the early preorder prices. So I figured I’d much rather give my money to him then Amazon.

I place orders with multiple sources to spread the risk out. I buy from and support Rudy because I love his videos and the service he provides. Supporting him hopefully keeps him around for many years to come.

Both 1 and 2 have happened to me before. Especially 1. So yes, that's a concern and not a trivial one either. If people realize they can cancel your order and make an extra hundred bucks then blame wotc, they will. When you factor in zero tax, shipping, and guaranteed order with authentic product, it's usually worth it.

Yes. 1 and 2 are legitimate concerns. Rudy does not charge tax, shipping is included, and I don’t mind supporting a guy that I like. It may be a “persona”, but by all accounts he’s a really good dude IRL too. Or, I could “support” my LGS that is now purely a “what’s TGC? My price is wrong then” and pointless to shop at. And preorders? Maybe. That’s IF they honor the pricing now that it’s “hot”. And I expect the allocation/delays to make collectors even hotter. I don’t mind supporting Rudy. It’s why a lot of us are here.

In this world...only guaranteed M/R count as cards. All others disregarded in calculations. Same R/M count per pack= same amount of cards.

Honest question for the patrons who bought: Why wait until this point to pre-order? Prices were universally lower 5 days ago with 75% spoilers done. Have you noticed better or higher hit ratios in Rudy's product? Do you have a sycophantic relationship with the idea of the character (simping for Rudy character?)? Do you actually believe that all other sources will: 1) cancel orders, 2) send repacks, or 3) as mentioned above, you will get inferior pulls. For science😉 Figured I might as well get some data out of this shit show.

The original VIP packs were half lands.

1 thing I don’t get is the VIP box was 33 cards. And 1 of these collectors is 16, 15 plus the token. So it’s half the amount of cards from a “pack” box of vip. Making this higher per pack because you really should be taking the case of 4 and dividing it by 2 to compare the numbers. Am I wrong? I’m an lgs im not hating on this pricing or anything, just curious what others say here?

I think it is a fair warning, but if you are buying singles - going to be an additional wait time for prices to find their spot. additionally, the race to the bottom is going to be wild as 50% of the supply is not even going to hit the market for one-two weeks, singles prices may hold super high for longer as a result. thoughts?

Good luck getting your preorders outside of Amazon. Thanks for waiting AND being honest as always. I don’t care if it’s a few bucks more, at least I won’t have to worry about them being cancelled and relisted lol. LGS are doing the damage to themselves. You shouldn’t have to support them just because, especially when they hose the very people that they beg to support them in the first place. Thanks for always being real Rudy!
