You will get an email from Creepy Rudy Magic Dude when your shipping label is printed. That’s your confirmation. Tracking will update closer to official release date when the post office receives the boxes and starts scanning them as they move through the system.

Yes I remember Double Masters launch and the fall out then rebound, which is what almost all boxes have done short of Commander Legends collector boxes. VIP boxes were $89-$95 then went up to over $100 then went down to $79 and stayed there as DM did absolutely nothing for a year. Then it double in price with what looked like an over night trajectory.

You also have to consider WOTC uses the Modern sets for their reprint equity. If they flooded a set like this it would "crush" the reprint equity of those most desirable cards, thus hurting sets down the road. It's a balance act for sure.

Imagine if WotC actually printed a decent amount of this product and sold at a reasonable price. Guessing they will look at this and decide that future masters products (of low print runs) will offer a significant premium above their already inflated premium. Given current production, If reprints don't significantly impact the number of available cards, what is the point of doing reprints.

to be fair, that was before we (everyone?) learned that the allocation was significantly less than expected. He said it himself 1000 boxes is the least amount he's ever gotten and sounds like he was sent more than most. There is probably under 100k boxes total produced, maybe even less.

Was this increase from the original $279-$299 due to distributors Rudy is buying from raising their prices? Does Rudy disclose what he pays for each box? Passing on this one because the price is not a discount if you know other places to buy besides Amazon and TCG Player, but looking forward to the 6.9 Year bundle!
