~ May 2022 - Mid Month Updates ~

As we journey through the summer of 2022, expect a lot of big releases and events!

People are scared and markets are volatile. 

The collectable world remains stable and is pushing forward.

Prices are not "going to the moon anymore" but things are doing good.

Lets start with the big news in Magic The Gathering.

Commander Legends 2 - General info - This is going to be a monster release. I have absolutly no doubt this is going to be a successful product. Strong land cycle with lots of unique cards. The market is uncertain on many of these new spoilers as people try to figure out what card to speculate on. 

Commander Legends 2 - COLLECTOR BOXES -  I bet very big on this product and will be allowing patrons the option to buy between in quantites of 3,6,12, or the 24 box master case. Pricing will be very aggressive the more you buy. 

Patrons have made it clear, they want the best possible price even if they have to buy a larger quantity. The 24 box master case will be for those individuals.

Important Note about collector boxes of CL2, BOTH waves of supply are being released at once on release date. So i am able to get a larger supply similar to Kamigawa but this also removes the possibility of more collector boxes on another wave.

I would highly recomend setting an alarm for this friday night to be prepared for the COLLECTOR BOXES. Similar to Kamigawa collectors,  demand is very high.

Patron Price Target is between $250's-$270's

Commander Legends 2 - SET BOXES - This item is now outselling draft boxes by a big margin. Remeber these set boxes are "smaller" since this is a premium specialty product. Once again after this release product hits, there wont be a restock for many months.

Patrons will have the option to purchase 1-4 Cases of this product.

I recomend the Set cases over the draft cases at this point in time, especially on this product.

Commander Legends 2 - DRAFT CASES - This will be the last sale for CL2 products. I have a couple pallets of Draft boxes for this item. Will be sold by the case also to provide the best price possible due to extremly high shipping costs in 2022.

I do believe this item will age well simliar to Com Leg 1. 

Magic The Gathering - Reserved List - Vintage mtg cards remain "flat to negative".Overall activity remains soft with buylists flat to down. Most activity is coming in from small time investors buying out cheaper RL cards. Expensive RL cards remain calm and quiet. I dont see any major upticks in this markete anytime soon. I think it could take 6-12 months before any excitment returns. This is a fantastic time to learn and build positions SLOWELY.

Pokemon - General Info - Pokemon market remains solid. No major upticks in prices. Modern graded pokemon "slabs" are still junk and i recomend staying away. Sealed boxes remain the only product i like in Pokemon....and of course Wotc/vintage.

Metazoo - General info - Metazoo has now stabilized from peak "hype" and being the new kid in the CCG world. I am impressed how well booster boxes and promo cards have held up in the 2022 bear market. This is agreat sign for the future of Metazoo and also the UFO release. I have no concerns about the passion and obsession of the people running the company. I think metazoo has a long road ahead with a lot of great new sets.

Metazoo - UFO Release - Releasing in about 60-70 days i expect UFO to be even better than wilderness. I love the Rudy Promo card we designed. I think "Space Rudy" who is literally on the moon is iconic for the era. Simliar to previous bundles, i expect pricing to be around $399 for the normal 2 of everything + promo bundles. Great price for a fun and unique product. I fully stand by Metazoo as a long term Brand.

Flesh and Blood - General info - While investors and collectors remain weak, the player base and attitude i saw first hand in New Jersey was incredibly impressive. I fully stand by Flesh and Blood and the future of the game. I believe many problems from the monarch era have now been corrected and will be noticed at the release of Uprising.

I apolozie but the private discussion i had with the CEO of Channelfireball and other private meetings with LSS/James are private and could not be filmed.

To summarize the conversations for the patrons: I can confidently state the supply problems and mistakes are not going to repeat with product dumps. FaB 2.0 starting with Uprising will have multiple "TIGHT" waves of product. There will NOT be enough to go around and each wave is designed to keep the product as close to the $99 MSRP as possible. If prices tank supply will tighted or simply down to an end with no additional restocks. The goal is for new release to be at $99. If the price skyrockets, supply will come to market to cool it off. Once the product goes out of print...then all bets are off. I estimate a 1 year lifecycle.

Force of Will - New set coming to the patrons Wednesday night! I only have 240 boxes. And this is considered the largest allocation out of all stores. The supply on these releases is getting impossible to acquire. I still have a soft spot for this game. 

Weiss - General info - Weiss is probably the strongest "SMALL" CCG in 2022. Every single release has been better and having higher demand. The hololive set was a record shattering product for the Weiss CCG nationwide. And it is fully sold out and out of print.

I apologize for the last 25 patrons who still have not had the Hololive shipped yet, still in transit from customs :-(

Weiss - Reincarnated as a Sline Vol. 1 - THe original release of this set a couple years ago had very very small supply and weiss has reprinted a small batch for people to acquire the product since Slime Vol. 2 is a popular brand. Slime Vol. 1 boxes were at $300.00 a box!!!

Even with the reprint hitting the market the price remains at $100.00 a box which is impressive.Supply is low and this is a great long term sealed item.

Kickstarters - CCG's - I am going to remain very NEGATIVE on 99% of all KICKSTARTERS. 

I EXPECT MOST KICKSTARTERS TO FAIL AND MOST PEOPLE TO SIMPLY LOSE THE MONEY AND NOTHING TO EVER HAPPEN. USE EXTREME CAUTION IN THIS MARKET. MOST KICKSTARTERS HAVE ZERO LONG TERM PLAN, AND NO TEAM IN PLACE.

Sorcery TCG - I have no plans to make any additional Sorcery TCG videos until they can prove that the kickstarter orders are actually filled and the customers are properly taken care of.

6.9 Year Anniversary Box - As of tonight about 500 of the 3,000 boxes are built and completed. This is the largest project and work i have taken on ever. I have no plans to do this again. It is a one time special moment to celebrate the Youtube Channel, the memes, and the world of MTG/Pokemon/Metazoo/FaB etc...More information will be revealed as we get closer. Price target is $699.69 and additional discounts for buying more than 1 box. Gemkeeper discount can be used on  this product for a $69 discount.

Overall State of the World - I believe the world continues to experience the hangover of the 2021 easy money and quick returns. Many times i am actually happier running sales to the patrons now, since they tend to last longer and are more stable.

I believe most "flippers" and people who never cared about the CCG world are gone. They sold out of all cards and left for good. In the short term this creates a vacum of falling prices as supply is dumped on the market. 

I believe everyday we are getting closer to "normal" and an equilibrium of prices.

I believe by the time we hit the end of the year, all markets are going to be in a good place.

I cant predict the "bottom" in stocks/crypto/collectibles but waiting for it, is a Timmy Move.

If your life is stable, you should be adding to positions in all asset classes.

Just like 2008, it doesnt matter when you bought, because EVERYONE who did looks like a hero.
