Hotly requested since day dot, we've finally whipped out some extra cameras and fully explained how a stupid idea becomes a fully-realised piece of YouTube cack.

For a right-handed maid, it was easier to button a dress if the buttons were on the left (from the wearer’s perspective). Men typically dressed themselves, so having buttons on the right (from the wearer’s perspective) was more convenient for right-handed individuals. As you can imagine, the poors emulated the wealthy people's fashions and customs.
