Tales of Aria - SOLD OUT + Sales Data

Now that lots of folks have received them and listed them on eBay, it looks like ... demand isn't that hot and prices are falling. There are a number of them listed around $100 right now. Only one has sold so far. It's only been about a day and a half, so we'll see.

Also, fwiw, the Mark Poole Channel Thunder Steppe playmat that was bundled with the ToA case offered by StarCityGames only has 2 offerings on ebay currently. Both are 200+, even though you can go over to SCG and pick up the bundle for 560 (basically meaning if you want another case you can get the playmat for 80).

Alright, cool. Not trying to tell anyone what to do with their playmats, but basically every remotely "interesting" playmat I saw on ebay was $135+, so $200 as a floor seems reasonable to me based on its limited production and the fact it's Mark Poole.

I'd like to see some solidarity honestly. I wouldn't let one go for under $200. Ever. I too got the big kit. And while I'm planning on holding onto both of my mats. I would likely never let one go for under $200 due to the rarity and the package price needed to obtain them.

For anyone who is planning on selling one of their promo playmats, do you have any idea what you're going to be asking? I'm thinking of selling one of mine. I don't want to gouge anyone, but I don't want to give it away either. Just a general idea of what you'll be asking for is fine.

Good luck too everyone on this product, I really hope its an absolute home run for you guys in future gains. I wish I knew more about non-mtg products.

I wish I could have enjoyed this drop, but before I was a patron I had already had preordered some on TCG, and based on Rudy's previous video, I didnt try to return them, I just paid the stupid price and sucked it up. Rudy, I think this business owes you a thankyou for your video.

Monarch unlimited is what actually has me a bit nervous. The market is showing signs of significant overprinting -- in that boxes are routinely selling at what must be below distribution pricing. I'm seeing boxes sell at around $43-$45 fairly regularly. On the other hand, they're moving in pretty good quantity at that price, so unless there is really very much a lot more than anybody is expecting, price erosion should be mostly over.

Amazing what's happening in the FaB market. It's not only the rapid changes in sales volume and pricing for TOA 1st Edition boxes as of 9/24/21, but even WTR and AR unlimited are showing strange behavior and selling up to 38% below MSRP.

Eh, price was a little more than I'd have liked based on recent drops in prices. Unless you're valuing the mat/promo heavily.

I didn't buy the kit and have zero regrets nor am I holding a fist to the air in anger at Rudy for his prices. I simply bought cases for 500 ea out the door at my lgs today. Personally I don't value the playmats and promo at the extra costs. Wish you all nothing but the best pulls.

So how do we know for sure that Rudy got your order? Does he email you saying you good to go or just wait to see if a shipping label gets generated?

You can simply buy crypto and use it immediately… transaction times are seconds in many cases… just comment that you’re buying with crypto, buy crypto on the spot, and use it to pay. This is usually how I do it… I try to avoid reducing my crypto positions whenever possible

Negativity was low imo bc the price was reasonable compared to Monarch, as well as a sealed case being offered. The odds of pulling a legendary in a sealed case are much higher than from 3 random boxes. Also the ability to choose large or small helped the smaller investors. All around good sale and great choices.
