Rudy's Opinion - I believe the future of mtg is going to rest on kitchen table players at home and with local communities playing mtg privately on a small scale.
Wizards has made it clear, professional play is worthless to them. I believe Commander/EDH will continue to lead the future of magic.
I have many patrons every month requesting all years of commander sets privately, so i thought a special sale offering different years of commander would be a fun twist.
Not much of a financial discount with an average of $5-$15 off per item. But a big deal, if you missed out in previous years.
