Rudy sold 3,000 kits @ $1000, or $3 million gross sales in an hour, with a presumed cost-of-goods-sold somewhere around $550k (possibly a little more if he paid for the playmats). Additional cost of sales will include something like $50k in postage and roughly $80k in PayPal fees. I don't know enough about how he runs his business to calculate the other costs he incurred as part of this sale that he wouldn't have otherwise, but let's be generous and call it $800k in total expenses or $2,200,000 in net proceeds from the event. Not bad for 2 weeks of solid hard work (and oodles of negotiation, marketing, prep, etc over the last months) If you take a big personal risk on a new project in the early days, when it turns out amazing, you reap big rewards

I'd be interested to hear from Rudy if he knows if the cold foil process costs more than regular foiling. Sorta like how in the t-shirt world black t-shrts cost more to produce because it requires larger amounts of dye.

I mean, we are what 2 years into the product's life, look at how the original box welcome to wrath price value is going, I'm sure in 5 years' times if the hype/playability keeps going this box will be in the thousands like all the rest. this is more of an investment than anything for me. I recommend buying and holding it up sealed. open the unlimited packs if u need cards from the set, or looking to play.

I kinda think of our Monarch kit as one big FABulous Taco: take the playmat and fold it width wise... carefully place the two Monarch boxes inbetween the taco playmat and sprinkle some hot sauce from the Promo card and... there you have a FABulous Taco!!!
