I was considering a case shortly before the ban hammer. Gonna be a spendy month between FaB, Theros, and Strixhaven.

Supply and demand; if they print enough where stores drop the price again and people open for singles then it will drop. But how many stores are really seeing a demand for boxes to the point they want to order a lot more? Stores already have Strixhaven and MH2 tying up money and both those sets have draft, set and collectors boxes. That’s a lot of new product to worrying about already and they can just raise the prices on Theros boxes and singles they have instead of trying to order more

As I was contemplating my monthly purchase yesterday evening I decided to buy Theros.... not 30 minutes later I got the notice from Rudy on the Theros shortage..... I was thinking “Geez boss, I only bought a case!! Hope I still get it!!

So if all the stores who are now out of stock order more and wizard fulfills it all, the box price should drop back and there will alot more theros going around. Or will ev not drop?

$100 shipped boxes are gone on ebay, TCG looks like the last place to have them that low. Maybe my $120 by Sat call was a little high but it's getting there

The EV of every box has gone up. It's called $2000 worth of stimulus that went to a lot of people who didn't need the money. Wait for money printer to keep going brrrr this year. Singles cards will probably keep going up.

aha I knew it. I knew this Theros box was going to be a home run hit. I bought these during Rudy's initial garbage firesale back when it first came out in 2020. Expectations were soooo low and negative about this set that I know people simply didn't buy them. Patience is a virtue. As Rudy keeps saying....gotta step back once in a while and look at the larger picture. Don't be a timmy :-)

honestly I think people finally caught up to how good the set is. Even with the Uro ban, the card is still $40 and with the rise of Kroxa and other cards like Heliod (because of the popularity of white decks in standard) there are a lot of $10 and above cards.
