~ Feb 2021 - Mid Month Updates ~

Alright lets talk!

Inflation is the name of 2021, no sign of any cool offs YET...

Force of Will Trading Card Game - So the new release is in coming in 2 days! The demand is higher than i have seen in a long time. Most stores are sold out. Box prices are almost at $100 already on the secondary market. I was able to lock in 300 boxes vs. 500 boxes from the previous set. I cant tell if this is a side effect of inflation in all categories or Force of will continuing to hold its own. Previous booster box releases continue to hold solid prices with 50% of releases posting strong returns within 12 months.

MTG - Kaldheim Collector boxes - are starting to feel like an official reduction in print run across the board. I still have NOT been able to get anymore boxes from anywhere in the country.

MTG - Kaldheim - Commander Deck Set - To my surprise, this is the STRONGEST performing Kaldheim product. I have ordered extra to keep it in stock due to the continuing sales. I never thought the Commander deck set would be performing bettwe than Zen commander...

MTG - TimeSpiral Remastered - Rumors are swirling about a limited printing simliar to previous master series boxes. This has pushed box prices up nationwide. I personally hope this is false but i dont know. I would rather sell MORE boxes at a lower price instead of selling less boxes at a higher price so everyone can get the product. At the end of the day, Distributors and stores make the same amount of money, so im a believer that restock waves should take place so more end user customers get the product. Do not underestimate this product, it is going to be a huge success. Will be offered to the patrons at release date next month.

MTG - Strixhaven - Way to soon for my opinion, but the hype around this standard set is higher than i have seen in a long time. No furhter opinion at this time, way to far off.

MTG - Reserved List - I feel we are starting to enter a consolidation period where prices are going to stabilize at the high levels. I see very little downside. The biggest variable in 2021 is that ALL big stores have raised the buylist prices to record high levels, this will prevent any form of decline due to the desperate nature of stores trying to get inventory. DO NOT SELL, you will regret it.

MTG - Sealed Boxes - The market has fully realized how wrong it was when pricing sealed boxes. The market has ALSO realized how little product actually exists sealed in 2021. This is reflected in the prices on ebay/tcgplayer. I see absolutly no downside risk even at todays prices. I know they look insane and expensive, but you aint seen nothing yet. In 5 years, it will seen out of this world. This is not due to card prices going up, this is due to supply approaching zero.

MTG - FLASHY CARDS - Use a lot of caution buying into any single flashy card in any set in modern times. While the sealed boxes are special. THe single cards are the highest risk item on the market. I am extremly bearish and negative on the value of any standard card or flashy card in 2021. BUT....wizards will adjust and instill confidence again, at that point in time, we can take a closer look. Trust me, they know whats going on with Flesh and Blood and pokemon. They are seeing the power of rarity/scarcity and truely collectible items. The jealously will cause a behavior change.

Pokemon - I have started recieving small amounts of pokemon booster boxes for previous sets like vivid voltage and Darkness ablaze, but the quantity is so low, i cant run a sale or do anything realistic with a couple cases. BUT....i am hoping for big numbers on the Battle styles release coming up, and i plan on offering the patrons as a test run.

Pokemon - Market - I have seen some times of single cards and vintage single cards leveling out and retracing downward on different wotc era sealed boxes. While it doesnt mean much since the prices went up so much, its irrelevant. I firmly believe sealed prices of ALL pokemon boxes will hold. I firmly believe graded pokemon cards are going to DROP. The backlog at PSA for graded pokemon cards is rumored to be 10,000+ cards. It will take time, but those cards will flood population reports and cool off the market.

Carta Mundi - PRINTING - In the next 9 months, we are going to see additional capacity come online for MTG , pokemon and Flesh and blood. Be aware, this will impact the market, but i dont know how or if it is only short term due to the demand.

Flesh and Blood - Crucible - I still believe LSS will eventually get a CRU unlmited reprint later on. They would be silly not to. This will have no impact on 1st edition boxes. But needs to be done to keep playable cards cheap for deck building and actual gameplay. Cru 1st edition should remain stable at its full market price between $750-$1250 with short term swings due to stores unloading and people buying. 

Flesh and Blood - Cold Foils - I believe these unique and very rare cards have a lot of space to increase. I will continue to buy Cold foils across the board as long as prices stay where they are.

Flesh and Blood - Monarch - Remember LSS increased the print run, but we have a 400% increase in the amount of new stores ordering FaB due to the brand/name recognition spreading. Many stores dont care about the game and will simply dump the product on ebay for a huge profit...and thats ok. Remember LSS believes stores should actually make healthy profit margins. This used to be normal back in the 90's and 00's. For some weird reason stores making money is evil in 2021. But when stores shutdown, everyone gets "disappointed". The free market will dictate the value and always will. If it is overpriced, buyers will back off and sales will stall out...prices will drop until the true value is determined by the public.

Flesh and Blood - October 2021 - This is the 2 year anniversary of when i introduced Flesh and Blood to the patrons and youtube. This will mark the most unique and special sale I have ever ran and will be the most controvsial 24 hours ever. It will be beyond Legendary.

Flesh and Blood - Blitz Decks - These will also be offered to the patrons, right after the 1st edition Monarch sale. We are still working out the details. Once the public sees these decks and the unique "specifics" to them. They will be a very hot item.

Argent Saga - I have spoken with the owner of ARG in regards to Argent Saga. THe game has a nice following and is a actually good. The owner and company have ended production of argent saga. I dont believe any new releases are coming. It is a shame...since this is the end result of management :-(

Weiss Schwarz - I have still not made any videos or commented on this market. I continue to expand heavily into this and have bought out 3 stores worth of sealed boxes so far. The amount of potential and long term growth in Weiss sealed boxes is something i have overlooked and regret missing out on. I am trying to play catchup now.

BuddyFight - This is one of the weirdest things i have seen in a long time. The entire sealed market of buddyfight boxes has gone up between +100% to +500%. The sealed boxes are almost impossible to find on the open market. I get messages abotu once a week from patrons and public emails for sealed boxes and do sell some my request only. Im not sure whats going on.

Marvel Trading Cards - I cannot believe the massive growth in sealed Marvel boxes from the 90's. I would use EXTREME CAUTION on buying into these price spikes. There are many stores/warehouses that have large supplies of old sealed boxes of this stuff. 

Digimon - I still have no interest in carrying the product line. If the game can go 2 years and get stronger simliar to FaB, then i will take a closer look. Bandai is still a poorly ran company with abad history of running games into the ground. Way to risky.

Crypto - I personally believe Crypto is a real thing and is going to be a larger part of the future. I dont know how it will evolve and what place it will take in the long term. Im not smart enough in that field to discuss it with a valid opinion. I personally hold 131,000 Dogecoins, because Lindsay said its cute and its a meme. Cost basis around .015. I have no idea what will happen, but its fun. i Dont consider it an investment.

Conclusion - The world is better so far in 2021 when compared to 2020. While tremendous uncertainty and segments of the population are still struggling to adjust in a post covid world. I see tremendous opportunity for people willing to go all in and grind it. I belive Social media will continue to expand and take over everything in modern lives. I believe this comes at a huge cost to the fabric of society but no one truely knows the long term impact and how it will play out. I believe the culture wars and politics will continue to be injected around the world into all aspects of life. Again...i believe no one knows what the long term impact that will cause. Good or bad...it is unpredictable. I feel the biggest risk to modern society is not aliens, nuclear war or Covid. I think it is the extreme wealth being created in pockets of society while the middle class is annihiliated. The massive increase in depression and mental health issues in which, can be connected to social media and the feeling of being left behind. And of course many of things. 

I  still believe 99.9% of all humans are good people. 

I also believe 99.9% of all people think everyones out to get them.
