Amazing... I don't know, I'm old and jaded, if everyone did what they said they were going to do and ran businesses like Rudy I would be very warry and even paralyzed. I've owned my own business I continue to invest in a wide array of businesses. Often I make the most money on very dishonest, old businesses that know how to play the game of making more money; that being said I don't mind buying defense contractors but I would never buy clothing manufactures that use slaves, got to draw the line.

I think that anything endorsed by Rudy has the possibility of getting a bigger push than another new game on the market. How many people will have heard of the game if not for his YouTube videos? I know as a newer Patreon I would not have

I love this game guys, playing as much as possible. Ya who knows where everything will land. Im just getting my mini position built on new first edition stuff as it comes out. Once shit gets above the old 500 dollar mark Im out. When monarch drops there is plenty of places to get boxes well below 100 bucks for first edition products if you act quickly and pay attention. I do feel that monarch and all future sets will dramatically increase in value for sealed product. Of course they wont go ham like the first 2 sets but they will earn an over 100% return fairly quickly. As long as everything doesnt go to 0.

It’s a scary idea for something build this quickly because it could rebound just as hard. Is it possible that the investor has bought the boxes for CFB to consign for him and he’s doubling the value or is CFB selling their remaining stock now at a higher premium because of the market deficit? Everything this year has surprised me

I still think it’s very strange how the prices have shot up as they have... I understand when things get old and rare like old MtG and there is a 25 year history where nostalgia is a very powerful force. There has to be MASSIVE market manipulation in order for this to happen. FAB alpha is rare to a degree, but where is the cult following, the nostalgia. My suspicion is most people buy it and are just sitting on it and not even playing the game (myself included). The big question is where will the hype train lead and for how long? Sorry for the rant, but it all seems suspicious, kind of like the very beginning of crypto currency. We all have seen where that went, but where is the intrinsic value of FAB?

Alpha prints haven’t been 350 for a while. I bought a sealed box 2 weeks ago for 775 on eBay.

This is the reason I don't think it will. It always might, but when this many people see how easy it is to get a 2000% return in a year, it significantly alters behavior. Legend Story could probably 100x the print run of Monarch and still have it all disappear right away. I'm not saying it's gonna be Fallen Empires or anything (unless they decide to also make it suck), but...

CFB has had them on EBay for the last couple months for $899 til now. I can’t find them on EBay anymore hmmm. Still on their website for $1750. I’m wondering what changed in the last week to make them double in price. What am I missing?

So CFB has 10 Welcome to Rathe alpha boxes listed this morning at $1,780. This all sounds like and appears to be a misinformation campaign to manipulate the market.

Makes me wish I didn't crack open my CoW case. It's a tough decision as a player though. Who knows when unlimited will actually drop. Having said that, I plan on keeping 5 sealed cases of Monarch! Hopefully the trend will continue.

I was going to ask about CoW and why it has shot up considering it is still in print. This does seem a bit crazy. I sold 4 WTR for about $3550 total. This paid for all my F&B to date. Still sitting on 8 WTR, 19 ACR, and 12 CoW. Man it is hard to hold onto those WTR boxes but at this point it is all profit for me so might as well see what happens.

I bought my boxes to open and play, so I didn't bother to hassle Rudy when my boxes came a little dinged up -- one with a crease and another with a small tear in the plastic wrap. I mean, I was gonna crack 'em anyway. Then, because 2020 means friends barely exist, I never ended up opening them. Now I'm regretting not begging for a replacement. Ah well

Originally I bought kits to open and play with. Then the world got crazy and all my kits sat on the shelf for some free time. now they are worth so many multiples more I don't think I could stomach opening them since unlimited is out. It is amazing to see the market has the financial means to absorb all these boxes at this scale. At the same time I am also scared for the market as this cannot be sustainable at this growth rate.
