August 2020 Mid Month Updates

Ikoria collectors Packs/cases have been removed from the patron list. This item is now sold out, no additional supply exists since Ikoria collectors packs are out of print.

I am working on getting a simliar supply next month for Throne of Eldraine, but the supply is a lot lower :-(

Many stores are struggling with financial problems. I have received hundreds of messages between patrons and emails from people involved with missing orders from other companies and ebay sellers. It appears a TON of people are in disputes and chargebacks at this point trying to get mtg products involving jumpstart/double masters and VIP products.

Based on these type of things getting worse, i stand by my previous statements of DO NOT pre-order months in advance. Even if you feel you can save some money, it is a risky direction. The risk/reward is simply not worth it and giving money to a store 1-2 months in advance is a poor decision.

Double Masters - I have locked in and confirmed an additional 2 pallets of Double masters. 360 Booster Boxes. I will have them in hand next week. I had to pay a higher price but i feel it is still worth it. I really want to do some box openings in the future. I still feel this product will remain flat in price at around $350.00 per box on ebay. I dont see it going higher or lower at this time

VIP - I have also locked in an additional pallet of this item and it will arrive next week. As many patrons privately discussed with me, people feel this is the most underpriced item and will continue to adjust upwards in price. I feel the market has already figured this out. The market has spoken and the VIP packs will contionue to rise. I feel this item will stabilize at $125-$150 per pack.

Jumpstart - Continued delays have pushed this item to $200+ a box. DO NOT BUY AT THIS PRICE. Once the printers and supply corrects and hits the market, this item will tank. I believe this product should be priced around $100-$125 when the supply is actually corrected.

Core 2021 - I will NOT be selling this item until September 1st. Due to the additional DM and VIP and blister packs. This has been moved 2 weeks forward for the September 1st patron month.

Zendikar - The fetchlands should be in the Ancillery slot in the collector Boxes.

Zendikar -  Collectors boxes will be sold at release date. 

Zendikar -  Set booster boxes will be sold 1 week after collectors boxes.

Zendikar -  Standard 79.99 boxes will be 60 days after release

Flesh and Blood - New Variety Pack being targeted for end of September

Flesh and Blood - If you havent heard by now, the original booster boxes that were sold in the previous variety kits are now out of print and SOLD OUT. They will be doing a reprint on these items, but the boxes will be different and not was good. This is something i discussed with the company to make the 1st printing boxes distinguishable and more valueable. If you have sealed Flesh and Blood booster boxes from the 1st variety kit. KEEP THEM SEALED, and congrats on doubling your money.

Force of Will - As you have seen in a recent intro i have now received the new FoW booster boxes. This will go on sale i believe sunday night? It will sell out..as it always does. There is no reprint or restock on FoW products.

Weiss - This product is easy to manage with 1 small sale every couple months. As with all Weiss boxes there is no reprint and restock and this always catches people off guard. 

Pokemon - I have decided to not carry pokemon at this time, due to the amout of other products i am currently managing. It simply is not a good fit for the business model right now. Although i highly reco buying CHampions path boosters/Elite Trainer kits lol

Reserved list - I am extremly surprised that the reserved list has returned with anger in 2020. I thought we would see another 1-2 years of no returns before this would happen. This is something i was very wrong on, and i was not prepared for in making videos or covering the topic. Simply put, im speechless on the strength and rise of the prices this time around. I believe firmly this was started by Crypto returns/stores rebuiling inventory, and a lot of money needing a place to park.

BuddyFight/Vanguard - I still have the product and i still want to do the variety kit on these items, but until wizards slows down, all these type of sales are on hold :-(

Argent Saga - I want to do another variety kit like last time and many patrons have asked but the company was been closed for a while due to Covid so im hoping to come back to this pretty soon

Pre-release kits - I was able to close a very large deal on pre-release kits. I have almost all the pre-rlease kits in the country for M21 and Ikoria. Estimated total of 5,000 kits. This will make a fantastic addition toi the prerelease kit variety package for the holidays.

Guilds/Alleg/War/ M20 - Some intersting discussion videos coming. All out of print and all in a unique position.

USPS / Post office - The mail contiues to struggle and run erratic and slow, everyone will need to be more understanding moving forward. I dont expect the mail to get back to normal anytime soon. I also expect increased amount of damaged packages and unfortaently, it appears most people will be recieving packages with dents or dings. Unfortanetly, i cannot package my shipments in larger boxes to protect the boxes better. I am charged based on box size...NOT the weight.

CONCLUSION - Humans are in a messy place in time right now. The cultural shifts and anger flowing through society remains very high. The economy being extremly split has made things worse. Sections of the economy are in nasty recessions. Other sections are online and booming. This has created a weird time with some people believing the world is ending and other people are "positive penelopes". I can assure you the economy is not falling apart, BUT the flow of money and business has shifted so rapidly, it "feels" like it is for many segments. I think this is the fastest shift in consumer behavior and business i have ever seen. Many peolpe will need to be creative or shift there careers or lifestyles to adapt to this new era. Change is never pleasant. 

The mtg environment is in a messy place right now. With the extreme mind sets of i want the "cheapest price possible always". We have all seen the emergence of some new stores doing extreme pricing and trying to make a name for themselves. This has led to additional bad experiences for thousands of people nationwide. I do not believe many of these behaviors are sustainable, and nature will work itself out. The key to mtg and anyone playing in this industry is standing the test of time. It is important to plan and block out market noise. Short term market noise leads to the worst decision making by people. Todays example is the VIP packs. There will always be stories and examples to point at and complain about. In the end wotc/distributors and large people in the mtg world go by PURE SALES DATA, not message boards and loud voices online. The silent majority in mtg world have spoken and VIP products are the future. Wether this makes us happy or angry, this is going to happen and we need to approach it with caution and an open mind. 

I believe PAPER magic will continue to stand the test of time and i hope you all stay with me and we ride it together because it is truely the best card game ever made. It is ok to hate wizards. It is also ok to disagree.
