February Stuff
Last couple weeks have still been pretty dry due a lot of things going on, but I've still been working on a couple things which can be seen here (along with some other art i never got around to posting) so here's that in the meantime! I'm looking to have more of my usual stuff to show in the second half of the month.

Sorry it's been a bit quiet, i spent a lot of the last month or so doing brushing up on art and banging out even more commission stuff for streamers I know - a couple of those projects i can't show just yet, but the ones I can show are viewable on the second row here.
Been a bit sluggish otherwise because I've been working on a lot of stuff since right after the latest HDoom update, so I -still- haven't had much time to rest, but I'm trying to do that now so I don't burn myself out.
I've been getting some questions on how to start the game from some people who aren't familiar with running Doom mods. Hopefully this visual guide will help!

Haven't had much time to rest at all after getting the latest HDoom release out there, mostly been consistently working on art and a couple rare commissions for people i hang out with - here's some of what I've been doing on that front.
I look to have more art and some early progress on the HDoom Arachnotron ready to show in the near future, so I hope you'll look forward to it!
Put together a quick compatibility addon to run HDoom Techdemo 11 with Marphy Black's "Revenant Bus".
Just extract it into your GZDoom folder with HDoom and Revenant Bus already in there and run the bat file, and you're good to go.

I've been very slow and deflated this month still so things are things are taking a little bit, but the good news is that all the spritework for the revenant is finished (technically there's a frame or two left to tweak in the ongoing final pass but i'll have that done within a day or two) - now it's just a matter of cutting and exporting everything into individual frames and getting it ingame + picking out some placeholder voices/sounds for her (until i get around to writing some new monster...

Posting a bit later than I had hoped, but I finally got hit by (what appears to be) covid and that knocked the wind out of me for a few days. Revenant is just about done, and I've been getting the initial sprite and workflow set up for the Arachnotron alongside the finishing touches on the revenant just so that I have work I can jump into after the update.
Not yet decided on if the hair and stuff is going to be as similar to the spider mastermind like it is here, will have to see what ...
Hunkered down and did all the stun frames. They still need a bit of extra polish (along with a handful of other frames on the revenant spriteset) but I'll take care of that when I do the final touch-up pass on the whole sprite sheet.
Outside of that, this means that all that's left is the fall animation and the final quality/consistency pass. Will probably have some more to show on that + hopefully some new art later in the month.
Gave the Revenant's h-anim a heavy second pass to reshade and fix a bunch of stuff, since I noticed a bunch of things busted about it when I opened it up to check my progress. Probably will clean it up a tiny bit more before release, but i got the rough patches worked out.
In the meantime I'm currently working on the Revenant's stun frames, which I would prefer to be farther along by now since there's only a handful of them, but I've been having a kinda tumultuous couple of months...
I didn't get to do much this month between family events, bad sleep, and getting hit with a couple of the December plagues that were going around. I'll try to pick up the slack towards the end of December and in January, but in the meantime have a small assortment of stuff from early in the year that I polished up over the last couple months.

I finished the last of the attack animations but didn't think they'd make a very interesting individual post, so instead I've included them here in a preview of all the stuff done for the Revenant so far (except for the h-anim, which is also nearly finished but in a separate work file)
Outside of polishing up a handful of walking frames that still need some leg/arm shading, this just leaves the stun and falling frames left to finish.

On an unrelated note, still got the next bunch of HDoom Revenant frames showing up this month too, which should finish out all the attack frames - after that I just need to do the hit rotation and the falling animation and it'll be ready.
I was resting for a short bit since I did a bunch of art for October/Halloween and didn't wanna burn out, but I'm back to work on HDoom's Revenant frames and should have more to show on that soon, possibly along with some more art if I get some extra momentum going this month. Here's also a WIP redo of a horror anim from while ago in the meantime as a late October bonus.
