2020-07-27 05:14:26 +0000 UTCWasn't Ice Age a half-assed attempt at it? Plenty of Nordic, barbarian,... in it as well as Alliances and Cold Snap
2020-07-16 21:08:43 +0000 UTCThat’s just totem worlds picture I wouldn’t take that as anything official or rumors hehe

2020-07-16 04:32:50 +0000 UTCAnyone else see that Jace is directly in the binder for the double masters collector portfolio binder on Amazon?

2020-07-15 13:26:44 +0000 UTCMasters isn't standard anyway, so VIP packs is totally plausible. So is commander legends. They aren't going to use an ancillary slot in a standard product for something that valuable either.
2020-07-14 21:23:01 +0000 UTCStill doubtful, since Fetchlands are not going back into standard play either it doesn't make any sense to put them as a rare land slot, anything not in the set has been an additional slot like commander in Ikoria.
2020-07-14 21:18:08 +0000 UTCWant that Norse set! How has it taken them this long to do a Norse set

2020-07-13 18:41:02 +0000 UTCMaRo has little to do with the ultimate power-level of cards and even entire mechanics. His team is much further upstream in the process. Companion, for example, had plenty of time for power-level adjustments, including raising the mana costs of each Companion and/or adding additional costs, such as the post-release errata “fix”. That being said, on his podcast, MaRo has recently talked (again) about a new type of mana that could work with different colors to accomplish something very unique. Negative mana could be that thing… and, yes, the idea does sound like something that he would enjoy.

2020-07-13 16:37:58 +0000 UTCPeople are missing the fact that they can still put fetch lands in the VIP boxes without it being a part of standard. It would go in the equivalent slot that the Commander 2020 cards were in for Ikoria and would only need to use the shooting star set logo or something else so they are not technically part of that respective standard set.
BrewCrew75
2020-07-13 10:15:32 +0000 UTCIt may not be in the double master “set” but they may slot it in the VIP packs as a “Special Card” not using the double masters symbol like they did with Ikoria collectors and the Commander 2020 slot. I am not saying this is the case but seems to be possible.
BrewCrew75
2020-07-13 10:09:08 +0000 UTCThey also sAid they would never do a master set after ultimate can’t trust wizards word tbh. Idk tin foil hat on haha

2020-07-13 05:45:08 +0000 UTCEveryone is wrong. The fetchlands are going to be in commander Legends. It's the dark horse that most people are ignoring, because they are too focused with what is immediately in front of them (JumpStart and Double Masters). It won't be in Zendikar because WoTC already said they'd never put fetches in standard boxes again.
James Schuette
2020-07-13 04:52:11 +0000 UTCNegative mana has MaRo's stain marks written all over it. After Ikoria companions, they aren't going to stop with testing power creep. Can always ban cards. Quite the motto that goes on at WotC.
2020-07-12 23:35:57 +0000 UTCMy take of Negative Mana, a spell transfers your Mana pool to the next turn or so many turns based off life lost. Or in that ball park.
2020-07-12 23:00:48 +0000 UTCNegative Mana... I 100% believe MaRo would do something that stupid. Intel checks out.
2020-07-12 20:26:33 +0000 UTCJust bought 4 for 360, I'm all in. #allinmtg
2020-07-12 17:06:59 +0000 UTCCan still get them off of GameNerdz for $95
2020-07-12 15:35:18 +0000 UTCRudy when is the double masters pre sale. XD
2020-07-12 14:57:24 +0000 UTCLol you mean I might be able to sell my mh1 snow basics finally? 😆❄⛄🏂
Joseph Mckendry
2020-07-12 08:12:31 +0000 UTCYeah I went ahead and grabbed 2x VIP packs while they were still $100. Even if there really are no fetches, there has to be a reason why they are already that expensive. And if they turn out to be meh, oh well, only out $200.
2020-07-12 03:35:41 +0000 UTCr/mtgfinance someone posted that from a previously reliable source on IKO spoilers that they said the enemy fetches would be in Zendikar collectors. To me, this makes the most sense as Zendikar has a land based theme and it would be a very good way to push the collectors packs similar to Godzilla cards in IKO.

2020-07-12 03:24:37 +0000 UTCRudy will you be carrying VIP Double Master booster packs?

2020-07-12 03:08:18 +0000 UTCMAKE MARIT LAGE GREAT AGAIN
2020-07-12 01:58:47 +0000 UTCI ordered 2 cases (16 each). Go big or go home (r/wallstreetbets) !
2020-07-12 00:32:22 +0000 UTCI just preordered two VIP boxes because of this post. - Timmy
2020-07-12 00:01:27 +0000 UTCyeah I can't see it in Zendikar, since they don't want it in standard play. Commander Legends, is possible. Unless we have some out of nowhere Modern Horizons 2 which all but inevidible someday.
2020-07-11 23:58:36 +0000 UTCFetch lands in VIP would make me trade my preorder in for 1 VIP pack for a box at-least. I was planning to put a toe in this Very-important-people with money water since they knocked it out of the park with Ikoria CEs. To call this product double masters this has to be way better than ultimate and iconic by a long shot.
2020-07-11 23:55:18 +0000 UTCAll of that sounds horrible
2020-07-11 23:48:53 +0000 UTC“Now, to quell one rumor before it begins, there are no fetch land reprints in this set. We know we told you there was another printing of fetch lands coming this year, and we promise there is, but Double Masters is not that reprint.” Quote per link Thomas Arias posted

2020-07-11 23:40:07 +0000 UTCLove the theories Rudy! Keep ‘Em coming! if they put the Fetches in the Double Masters VIP that’s a pretty shady ‘loop hole’

2020-07-11 23:33:33 +0000 UTCNorse-Themed? Are we finally going to Kaldheim? If so, we know the new planeswalker.
2020-07-11 23:06:42 +0000 UTCIf WOTC doesn't put the fetch lands in the VIP edition I'm not sure which product they'll be put in...unless there is an unannounced set they are going to release before the end of the year.
2020-07-11 22:40:16 +0000 UTCYoda speaks truth!
2020-07-11 22:02:46 +0000 UTCThere will be not fetchlands in this set. It was said during the initial anouncement. I am pretty new to the Magic scene but have they lied liked this before?https://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/news/announcing-double-masters-2020-05-21
2020-07-11 21:55:18 +0000 UTCIs someone from Cataclysm Games one of your patrons?? ;) Because I preordered a VIP box from them yesterday for $340, and today they've raised their price to $380. Seems like they might also know/suspect something.

2020-07-11 21:49:52 +0000 UTCExtra steps is probably a good idea.... considering Phyrexian mana is bah-ROKEN. ;)

2020-07-11 21:26:08 +0000 UTCMakes sense that VIP would have that. You’re looking at $300 for a regular DM box with at least 48 rares and mythics (plus foils and box toppers rares) and the VIP if it has the same cards are $400 for 16 rares/mythics. I cant see that much of a premium of showcase/ full art of the same rares to charge an extra $100 for 32 less rares/mythics.
2020-07-11 21:19:32 +0000 UTCNegative mana..... Sounds like Phyrexian mana with extra steps. Lol
2020-07-11 21:16:45 +0000 UTCThanks for the heads up Rudy. You're a market mover, so it's nice to get a window to act on items if wanted. Appreciated!

2020-07-11 20:51:28 +0000 UTCOne of the owners of the LGS in my town told me the same thing about fetch lands in VIP boxes! I’m not sure if I believe him but it’s interesting to hear it from someone else as well.
2020-07-11 20:48:04 +0000 UTCive been wanting a real (not un set)squirrel edh tribal deck for years lets make it happen
ronald a zecca
2020-07-11 20:35:28 +0000 UTCShadowlands has a sort of negative mana, You can "burn out" a resource for one turn to get a more powerful effect from some spells, like exert, but for mana.
2020-07-11 20:33:55 +0000 UTCIf the VIP double masters holds fetchlands, all bets are off

2020-07-11 20:32:37 +0000 UTCi would love to see a squirrel set they have needed to give them some real love for decades.

2020-07-11 20:29:34 +0000 UTCDepending on the wording that doesn't preclude double masters vip boxes

2020-07-11 20:20:07 +0000 UTCThey did say no fetches in double masters, maybe this was a hint that they didn’t specify VIP Masters. Interesting....
