Not a fan of this concept sir...lying to draw views or stir up discussion? What’s disconcerting is you are a good liar because seems like a normal video. Idk if the people who don’t like you are getting to you or something? Look at it this way- if everybody liked you- I think that equals less views for a normal guy such as yourself/non movie star/etc. Not trying to insult you with the normal guy comment. The best thing you can do for your channel is “don’t fix what isn’t broken”. This idea doesn’t compare to that YouTuber filming comedy in the suicide forest but it seems to me- to be down a similar road. Not condemning- just disagree with the idea- could cause more trouble than the good it would accomplish if executed perfectly. I do appreciate the heads up though. Take care- Brian

I don't like the idea Rudy. You might as well start doing click bait titles. I came to your channel because you merged finance and magic. I love your videos about buying carnival and Victoria secret bonds. I got back into collecting magic because I watched older videos from 16 and 17 and saw how you were correct with your predictions. Giving bad info might get you a few more angry clicks but will not help your brand long term. Also why even tell us. You know someone has probably posted this to Reddit and anywhere else that might drive traffic your way.

I see what you are saying, but I think that it's a little dishonest for your subscribers who are not Patreons. I'm worried that you may end up losing some of them. I do appreciate your videos, which is why I became a Patreon, but if I found out that you lied about the outcome of investments with the name being "alphainvestments," I would probably be pissed. Even if it was only for a couple of weeks. That being said, I know that all big YouTubers do stuff like this, but I do prefer honesty and forthcoming. Not because it's what is best in the short term for your channel, but because I believe you are an honest person and people will appreciate and follow you for that reason. I do not want to see you burn that bridge with your current subscribers just to get publicity. But I may be a tad niave, so to each their own I guess. In the words of Timmy, Her: "I hate you. I don't want anything to do with you anymore. You have a small dick." Timmy: "ok, that really makes me sad, but if that's what you want I'm not going to try to convince you otherwise. I don't know why you have to say my dick is small though." Her: "because it is and I'm telling all my friends." Timmy: "ok go ahead and do that, I guess. There's no such thing as bad press." See what I mean, acknowledging the haters is as good as paying them. It's not quite to that level, but you see what I mean, right?

I'm also curious what, if any, affect these videos will have on the markets, or would if they were left to their own devices. For example, I played Force of Will back around the MoA days, when you made your big rant video about the game saying it was dead and over with, and while the game's community was still a decent size locally and nationally, I saw people leaving at a pretty rapid rate because "Force of Will is dead!" Of course, when asked WHY Force of Will was dead, about 80% of people could only give me 'Cuz Rudy said it was!' Regardless, I'm interested if 10-14 days worth of you saying certain big investments didn't pay off at all will result in those products seeing a notable price change as people who aren't here see these losses as a reason to get their capital out while they can, especially the Pokemon product (and any other Non MTG product you decide to talk about) as those seem to be more likely to have people 'investing' in them in order to make money for MTG without knowing the actual worth of what it is they are buying. I'll probably spreadsheet my data and I'll let you know if it turns out being anything interesting.

thanks Sarah, i agree with you and the other couple people who expressed concern about long term. I will make sure it is clearly marked and when it is over, make sure to clearly state it was a specific test. I dont like filming at the local store anymore, between people not wanting to be on camera due to the high amount of views to also some of the larger supply of expensive things. It is not a good fit for filming right now

This is kinda hilarious, and I am amused to all hell and wanna see how things react toward it. Though on the other claw, I am gonna echo someone else's comment: Don't do too many of these. Maybe change the title of it after a couple days of uploading? re: credibility and all. I know a lot of people are blinded by their emojis and stuff, and I can't say I'm not biased the other way.I quite like what you do (mostly? I'm not a fan of the buyouts. It's great to make money, but if that's taking up limited resources that someone else would want etc) but if it comes to a year later and you release like 10 "lying" videos I mean I think people already think, by and large, that you're a scumbag, literally, and stuff though I think right now people have this grudging respect for you? I think something to watch is how the market will react. For example, does the value of Gatecrash boxes fall at all after the video comes out. Markets are emotional, so I would like to see if this has an effect. :) Maybe call it out in the final video if there is a trend?

I am mostly ok with all of this, but I would enjoy more videos about lessons you've learned being in the trading card world, and then mistakes you have made while in it. Many of us patrons of course see you as a knowledgeable source in the field, and learning from your real mistakes would be pretty valuable! The part I am not ok with is that your channel may be seen as inauthentic if you do too many of these videos. If you do videos that to be honest are a kind of propaganda, then how are people to trust your advice videos. You are essentially saying that you are lying as an experiment and to influence the community. Just playing devil's advocate of course. I don't want to overhype the impact of all this, but it does start going down a dangerous road.
