Added 2018-07-20 14:08:10 +0000 UTCIn the next 24 hours i will be posting a video about some changes that wizards is doing, that is not fully public information yet. The biggest bombshell is probably the fact that WOTC is going to raise all Booster prices starting September 1st by 1.50-2.50 a box to every store in the country.
Wizards has recently announced they are shutting down there Wholesale store WPN direct buying for every store nationwide. Moving forward the ONLY way for any store to get product now is through distributors. Wizards reasoning is to focus on other things. The reality is this is the opportunity for them to increase pricing nationwide while NOT increasing the MSRP of the product lines. This means all stores around the country will make even LESS money per box, i expect this alone will shutdown some stores in the next 12 months.
As of this time, i am NOT going to raise my prices, i plan on leaving the box prices at 79.99 and covering the extra costs.

Wizards has raised the price of Commander 2018 to an MSRP of 140.00, this is why you see prices between 140-150 on ebay right now.
Pre-orders will open on August 1st, and I will destroy that 140.00 price :-)

Hell yeah, in my opinion commander is the best to play with friends. I've been waiting for this to get back into playing.

This is clearly the best for profitability of game long run, which translates to best for shareholders of Hasbro. If that needs to be explained to Rosewater and co, then something needs fixing.

2018-07-20 14:16:21 +0000 UTCI’ll keep an eye out for the video. Seems weird for WOTC to focus on other things (whatever they may be). I honestly hope WOTC can do what it takes to encourage the LGS. I think the buy a box promo is still a great idea (although I think it’s weird the 2nd most expensive card in M19 is the promo). My area has lost three LGS’s in the past year. I want to see the one remaining thrive.
