I once got a copy of Call of Duty from a Game Crazy (Hollywood video was the parent company) a day early. Apparently the owner went and "picked it up himself".

The real story is boring but true that does happen all the time. Even with video games i remember getting a copy of halo 2 a few days early even with a do not sell before date sticker on. I used to work at a LGS, and our distributor was GTS and sometime this kind of stuff happen to us too.

I agree with not making a video response, but I really wanted to know what happened, so I'm glad you let the story out. I'm sure you were getting tons of requests to make videos about this, and this is a great way to sort of put things to bed (even though desolator will never stop his crap no matter what).

@Steve Lofton- The short version is a tuber named DesolatorMagic saw how Rudy got Aether revolt early and couldn't understand how it is Rudy got it so early. So he says Rudy must be doing something shady cause he is of the opinion that distributors never make mistakes. Working in the shipping industry, I can confirm that distributors most certainly make mistakes. (guess this wasn't all that short)

Actually he ha shown his face in several videos. Desolator is a guy with issues, he has some form of autism, probably Asberger's. He is constantly exaggerating his experience in everything and he often says, "Well, I din't know for sure but.." and then he spews a bunch of bull shit. I think his primary audience is 12 year old boys, he is their idol. He continually threatens people, he is a martial arts expert, he has guns, blah, blah, blah. Today he put WotC on notice, they are not to mess with him! Thanks for the information on how it happened.

Trolls feed on acknowledgement. I've never seen a single piece of factual information or evidence produced in any of his videos. He just likes to put conflict into the video titles. Most sane viewers will know that you have enough experience in the industry that you're not going to put yourself into a liable position just for a few box opening videos!

Typical "I'm never wrong, if you disagree you are stupid" logic that Desolator uses on all his videos. The guy's been playing magic for what, 3 years or so? But of course he thinks he is a MTG deity. Keep up the good work, Rudy.

Desolator never shows his face, his videos are long winded and boring. I don't trust someone that doesn't show their face. Rudy has a garden of eternal masters boxes that he waters. He wears empty packs as hats, knocks boxes over and is very entertaining. Plus Rudy is a great salesman.
