The news. (Game and stories)

Things are going well with SB:M 5.5, only 20 or so panels to pose and render and it’s a wrap. You, my dear Patrons, will be getting 5.2 as your reward next weekend and 5.3 is already available for purchase at Funkypedia.com for those who can’t wait! 5.4 is also ready for publication but won't be published until mid-June.

It’s very difficult for me to hold back like this and not publish everything as it is ready, but it has become a necessity to plan my coding days vs my Daz days. Having a few weeks of content ready ahead of schedule secures my time to work on the game.

The current component I’m working on is the story viewer. For those who have play tested, the Theater allows for the player to read the stories within the game (if you’re willing to play long enough to see the release date of each episode) Bridecraft, SB:M and The Funkypediac, all have in game release dates. (The Funkypediac will have almost daily in-game releases during the Shrink-O-Virus pandemic…)

The viewer also shows The City News, which is also a big part of the game’s story. It’s an important component and so far, I’m not getting the snappy performance I need, to make “growth sequences” that click through smoothly. Also, there is the issue of scrapers: I need to harden the viewer so that one can’t scrape the whole site’s stories by using a browser script. But I have a feeling I’ll have a breakthrough.

After SB:M 5, it’s back to Julie and Yang. The new series will be a little bit less of a “growth journal” and more a “case of the week” formula. The objective is to split the episodic content and the development of the main characters equally so that while “Patient X” has his moment; Julie, Yang (or sometimes Cecile) can have their own little ongoing Rom-Com-GROWTH-Drama.

Here are some patients of the week you can expect in the early episodes:

• The Mother – A mother comes to the clinic with her 2 shrunken teens.
• The Survivor – She lost everyone she loved to the virus.
• Patient Zero – Allegedly the first case in The Country, she infected her friends and her husband.
• The phobic – A man’s fear of tall women is aggravated by his shrunken state.
• The Clone – A former Space Amazon clone must deal with being shrunk and having an identity.

And now, after reading all of this… I think you have earned your bonus image. It’s the last panel from SB:M 5.4, Not perfectly happy with the smoke effect but I like the scene as a whole and like I said. It’s very hard for me NOT to share stuff!
