Standalone game ?
Added 2018-05-07 04:22:09 +0000 UTCI'm thinking about creating a standalone game, the kind where you pick a position, speed, camera angle, ending etc
I'm considering either flash or unity (.exe), flash would be pretty low quality and it would be a struggle it host it (apparently games over 10mb require manual permission on newgrounds), and I don't know flash where as I do know unity (but it would still take me over a week to learn the functions required to get the game to run as intended). Then the animations on top of that, then getting sound done for it.
So .. there really isn't a point to starting this up now when I'm prioritising the Liara movie, so this is maybe 2-3 months in the future, if ever.
The only real question I have is who should I use? I'd want it to be less niche, so I'm thinking Overwatch, and we might have new DVA, Bridgette and Sombra models by then....

You will be disappointed by your own work, and you will disappoint your supporters. Also, .exe is Microsoft Windows only. There are plenty of users who despise Windows and use Linux or MacOS only. Flash is a dead format, also has compatibility issues. Unity can build for Linux and Mac too, but you'll need to learn a lot about it before getting anything worthwhile, and that will take a lot of time and energy. It's much better to stick to what works right now, that is to say video containers. Just my opinion, you do you. Your work is really good already.
