Ok, so I had to colourize the blocked in britches because Patreon thought it was nudity...be careful, Patreon, she's showing her ankles! So naughty! Prudes...
First WIP of the month and coming along a bit slower than I would like but I've spent most of my time arguing with Zbrush over the coat. Adding thickness to cloth simulated in Marvelous Designer can be fairly straightforward most of the time, but with a dynamic pose and so many wrinkles, adding thickness leads to a lot of backfaces penetrating through the rest of the mesh which leads to a lot of clean up. Fortunately, I've reached a point where I can finally move on to other parts, like giving her proper britches, boots and, of course, a hat. Likely going to have a choice of sabre/cutlass or flintlock in her right hand. Still more detailed parts to add too like a gun belt etc.
I'm planning on using the coat to support the rest of the model as I don't believe it will work too well with just one arm making contact. When it comes to the base I'm planning on having her leaping over the taffrail of the ship. The base itself will be a bit taller as I plan on making a vertical section with a cutaway of the hull itself with part of the deck visible too.
At least that's the plan. Lots to do!
