2021-09-01 12:28:56 +0000 UTCGenerally speaking there are no examples of double bladed polearms in real life (pointed ends, sure, but not bladed) - the whole point of a polearm is extra reach and adding another blade to the other end would negate that benefit. "Spinning attacks" are a thing of Hollywood and fiction as spinning a 6 foot length of wood wouldn't impart enough force to do any actual harm and would lead to the polearm being knocked from the users hand extremely easily due to the lack of grip needed to spin it (unless you're General Greivous with robot hands). Having blades with the same orientation enables a one-two combination with a strong grip following up after after a performing a block or being blocked.

I absolutely love the model and everything, but I'm curious if the blades of the weapon would be facing opposite directions normally? Just based on other pole weapons with blades on both ends I've seen, it would stand to argue part of the point of have a duel bladed pole weapon would be for spinning attacks with said weapon and the blades facing opposite directions would make more sense in that regard, I think? I am absolutely not judging your model or anything, I was just curious your rational behind having the blades on the weapon facing the same side. Cannot wait to see it released so I can start printing! ❤❤❤❤
