May 2025 update

Hello, everyone.

So once again, I wrote a whole lot less than I would have liked this past month. This time though, it was because - as I mentioned in the one Weaver chapter I posted - I had completely and utterly burned out.

I spent the month bouncing around from idea to idea, trying to get the creative juices flowing again by writing something different, but never really stuck with anything. Of course, it didn't help when I felt like I should be writing more Weaver since I literally had my Patrons paying to do that - not that I blame any of you - which only further stressed me out.

So in the end, I just decided to take it a bit easier. Once I did, I actually managed to write a whole chapter and settled on some things when it came to my writing.

Really, it feels like I keep relearning this lesson every once in a while - don't force yourself, especialy when it comes to creative work. It never ends well.

So, going forward, I want to stress that, although the uploads won't be as regular as they once were, I'm still going to be continuing to work on Weaver whenever possible without pressuring myself into another burnout.

In addition to that, I also wanted to start another project, just to have something else I could write if I ever got stuck on Weaver again. That project would be the Soul Split Chronicles, that I'd already posted about in one of these monthly updates. Granted, I'm still figuring some things out about the setting and whatnot so I'm not sure when I'll post the first chapter, but I'm hoping that declaring here that these two are now my active projects will help me be more focused and I'll get more writing done.
