“Yes, that’s right,” the Heavenly Empress nodded with a gentle smile. “I had more interactions with her… we even talked about many personal matters. To me, she was like a motherly figure. I’ll never forget her gentle voice, how much she loved this world, and all of us.”

“Today, we mourn so many people…” Zero One said with a sigh. “Um, so who is this new successor, if I may ask, Sir Primordial Beast? Is it okay for me to ask? I’m a machine, not even part of this world, but—”

And, yeah, the Heavenly Demon’s… scratched. I couldn’t get one of his skills in the end.

Perhaps not because I didn’t fulfill the conditions, but because he’s gone.

Honestly, I’m not upset about missing his skill. I couldn’t care less about skills, stats, or any of that right now.

I’m just sad he’s gone… I’d probably trade all my strength, everything I have, to bring him back.

I wouldn’t mind starting from zero if he could return.

To me, these things are a means to an end. Sure, I might have fun with them and all that power fantasy stuff, but…

In the end, all this power is meaningless if I can’t save the people I love.…Alright then.

I know he’d probably reprimand me right now if I acted like this when more power was offered to me on a silver platter.

So, let’s just choose the skills I want and be done with it.

Some of the skills have changed a bit, I think. Zero One’s skills got stronger, going from SS to SSS…

And there are some new skills added here and there.

Okay, for Zero One, I’ll pick the obvious choice I should’ve made earlier, if I hadn’t been consumed by my desire for mecha powers.

As for Mom’s skill list… I’m torn between that Armament Creation and… uh, that Domain.

The Domain Skill would instantly create a Domain, so it’d be much easier and more convenient than the Domains I can create through techniques.

Her Armament Creation is unparalleled, though, and mine can’t even compare to what she can accomplish. It’d be a huge leap if I could get it as a skill.

But with my new armor skill, the Morphin Core powers, and the other machine skills, I think I can make up for it.

Then again, looking at this, I have two other Domain Skills I haven’t used yet!

[Black & White Heaven’s Domain of Balance and Chaos (SSS): Lv1] and [Seven Demonic Cursed Seals Domain (SSS): Lv1]!

The first… I got it from the fusion of the Heavenly Demon and the Heavenly Empress in the Record World, right?

I sponsored them and snatched this crazy skill after fulfilling their desire to meet Song again, and then they merged with their original selves.

I used it in conjunction with my Aura, but it’s so powerful and complex that it’s taking a while to fully utilize its power.

I’ll have to practice back home as I fight other foes…

And the other is from my new [Heavenly Demon: ★★★] Subclass. I haven’t tried using that one yet, but I think it’s strong and might be easier to use than the other.

Okay, I guess Domains are more than covered with these skills. Do I even need more?

Armament Creation seems like the obvious choice now, but… maybe I could go for the Bloodline? Or the Wings?

I want… to carry a piece of her, of the Heavenly Empress, my adoptive mother, within me.

The Heart of Hope is already one piece, along with all her teachings, but I want something more personal.

Perhaps…

Ugh, but wouldn’t it be a bit weird?
