The two quickly began tearing through the incoming boulders one by one, making their way higher and higher into the skies until they finally saw the massive behemoth that Ezekiel had become, covered in glowing crystals, channeling immense quantities of energy…

This was the true power of a Raid Boss! 

“I WILL DESTROY EVERYTHING YOU’VE BUILT, IRON BLOOD EMPEROR! EVERYTHING WILL GO DOWN! YOU AND YOUR ACCURSED FAMILY WILL PAY WITH THEIR BLOOD!” 

The massive golem channeled immense quantities of energy within its crystal-covered body and then pointed them into the distance, at Elderbridge… 

“I’LL DESTROY YOUR DAMNED CITY, VAMPIRE PRINCE! WATCH AS YOUR PEOPLE ARE VAPORIZED!” 

“Vlad! We have to stop it!” 

“Yeah… I guess there’s no point in holding back anymore.” 

Both rushed in front of the golem as the beam was about to be unleashed.

In that moment, the vampire prince unleashed the power of his trait. 

“{Heavenly Emperor’s Transformation}” 

FLAAASH!

The heavens above rumbled as a giant black lightning bolt descended, shaped like a roaring red and black dragon, striking Vlad with an explosion of Heavenly Ki! 

BOOOM! 

Vlad’s eyes widened as he felt his powers rising immensely higher than before… In fact, the power he gained from the Trait had increased alongside his own base growth.

A coiling dragon manifested out of his own Soul, speaking to him. 

“It seems the second and third seals are gone. Impressive, young reincarnation. Your phenomenal growth has made this possible! Now enjoy—this is our true power!” 

The dragon merged with Vlad’s chest, fusing with him and imbuing him with immense power! Suddenly, even his appearance changed. His armor transformed into ancient Chinese robes of black and red, his long white hair tied into a sleek ponytail, and his eyes glowed with crimson light. 

Meanwhile, Chris channeled all his power and skills into a single gigantic arrow, aiming it with both his Trident and his Bow at the same time, combining all his power into a single point. 

“Paul! Are you ready?! It’s coming now!” 

TRUUUM!

The massive beam rushed toward them, and within a split second, it struck them both. Chris was unable to fire his arrow in time. He closed his eyes, imagining the worst—his character dying and then Elderbridge being destroyed…

And yet! 

“{Heavenly Blood Dragon Arts}: {Abyssal Crimson Dragon’s Palm}!” 

RUMBLE!

Vlad unleashed all his power at once, using a single hand to push back the immense beam. Ezekiel was shaken, unleashing more and more power as countless laser beams fired from all over his body, aiming at the city, Vlad, and Chris! 

However… 

“{Heavenly Blood Dragon Arts}: {Umbral Dragon’s Vengeful Shadows}!” 

From his Aura, dozens of dragons surged, catching every beam with their bodies and redirecting them toward Ezekiel, bombarding him with explosions. 

“I-IMPOSSIBLE!” 

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! 

“YOU DAMN BASTARD! WHAT SORT OF POWER IS THAT?! HOW DID YOU EVEN…?!” 

The ancient king was filled with disbelief as Vlad’s power surged, suddenly combining with Chris. As he held his hand, the incubus blushed, all his fear vanishing in that moment. 

“Let’s do this together, Chris.” 

“E-Eh?” 

Though shocked, both he and Vlad rushed forward, their power combining into a spiral of blood, shadows, light, and spiritual energy. 

“Ugh, fine! I’ll play along just this once, okay?!” 

Chris smiled in the end, realizing that as long as he was with Paul, his life would never be boring anymore…

Indeed, Paul truly brought him a lot of happiness and exciting, thrilling moments like these. 

“HAAAAHH!” 

Both roared, their Heavenly Ki unleashing two dragons—one representing the Heavenly Emperor’s light, the other the Heavenly Demon’s darkness. Both dragons coiled together and, alongside Chris’s arrow, reached Ezekiel… 

“YOU DAMN…! YOU THINK THAT’LL WORK AGAINST ME?! DON’T…! DON’T UNDERESTIMATE MEEEEE!” 

Ezekiel fought until the very last moment, his giant boulder arms rushing forward as his magic unleashed dozens of laser beams, trying everything he could to stop that final attack!

And yet… 

CRAAASH!

The draconic arrow pierced through everything, reaching his chest and piercing it…

Along with his true body and his soul. 

“I-Impossible…! I am…! I am the King…!” 

The light and darkness engulfed him completely. Ezekiel saw a giant hole blown through his torso, obliterating most of his body except his limbs and head, which, through the heat, began to burn into ashes. 

“My Kingdom…! Give it back… give it… back… to me…” 

Memories flashed through Ezekiel’s mind—memories from millions of years ago, when he was a proud and radiant king, leading a great city of insectoid people like him. How he helped them fight against all challenges, as they prospered in this realm, laughed, and smiled, despite all the hardships they endured. 

“I see…” 

He smiled faintly in those final moments before his death as he saw both Vlad and Alitheus unleash all their power… and noticed how they held hands tightly, their wills unified in this very moment. 

“I was never meant to win from the start…” 

His consciousness slowly faded as he gazed at the light of heaven consuming him rapidly, though it felt so slow to him. 

“You win… Vlad… You better show me what you can do… for the future of this Realm…” 

His words echoed through the prince’s mind as Vlad looked back at Ezekiel’s body, almost nothing remaining except half of his face amidst the blinding light, slowly crumbling into ashes. 

“Eternal rest… I guess I needed that…” 

BOOOMMM!!! 

The two watched as the ancient king faded into nothingness, and his giant stone form crumbled into the destroyed forest.

It was finally over. 

“Ezekiel…” Vlad looked down, his eyes filled with a strange sense of sorrow, despite hating the man. 

“What’s wrong? We won!” Chris celebrated. 

“Yeah…” the vampire prince nodded. “And yet I cannot help but feel strange… I guess I’ll have to find the answers later. Let’s go back to Elderbridge.”
