The Crippled Vampire Prince Walks The Heavenly Demon Path Chapter 209: Confrontation

-----

“A-Ahh…! B-BASTARD!”

Defying all odds, and despite having been struck fatally, Bloodfang roared furiously, mustering every ounce of strength to smash Ezekiel’s head with his axe. The weapon shattered upon impact, Ezekiel’s bare skin easily repelling the attack.

BOOOM!

Yet, a second later, an explosion of pure Arcana erupted. Ezekiel’s eyes widened as a small, sharp scratch appeared across his pale face, blue blood trickling from the wound.

“Hm?!”

Fury consumed him, and his head transformed into a monstrous insectoid maw, snapping open as Bloodfang laughed defiantly.

“Hahah… Invincible? I made you bleed… shithead…”

CRUNCH!

Sharpclaw watched in disbelief as Bloodfang perished. The orc’s legends and terror had spread far and wide across the Realm, yet this was where his story ended…

“RAAAHHHHH!”

Sharpclaw roared, his Aura erupting as a gigantic spiritual beast fused into his body, causing him to quadruple in size, his frame bulging with massive muscles.

“Bloodfang! I’ll never forget your bravery, you damned old fool! I’ll avenge you! I’ll stake my very life on it! We’re mere barbarians, bandits, filthy, hated by everyone, but…! But you were more than that! You were a warrior! And today, I’ll die as one!”

“Hm?!”

Ezekiel glared as the wolf charged, using his entire body to slam him into the ground. The two rolled through the burning forest, the ancient king swiftly kicking the werewolf’s stomach, punching his face, and then striking his chest. Sharpclaw tumbled across the ground, vomiting blood. Had he not transformed, he would’ve been torn to shreds already.

“You’re not too weak. That transformation… interesting.”

Ezekiel smirked, advancing toward the wolf as his powers surged. He pointed his claws at the monstrous werewolf, and from within them, a strange worm emerged.

“Join me.”

“What?! FUCK OFF!”

Sharpclaw slashed the worm Ezekiel offered to pieces. The king’s fury flared, and he clashed with the werewolf, their blows unleashing shockwaves that razed their surroundings, flattening dozens of trees at a time.

Though Sharpclaw seemed to hold his own against Ezekiel, the truth was far grimmer. Each exchanged blow weakened him, crushing his muscles and bones, leaving his body wracked with pain.

Yet, thanks to his unique Aura, that pain fueled his strength, allowing Sharpclaw to keep Ezekiel occupied, even at the cost of his own life.

“Come on, you damn noble, do it already!”

Sharpclaw roared as Ezekiel smirked, his sword slashing through the werewolf’s right arm. Sharpclaw screamed in agony as his severed limb fell to the ground, blood spraying everywhere.

“AAAAGGH! YOU DAMN SHITHEAD NOBLE, DO SOMETHING OR—”

“Thank you, it’s done!”

Ausberth laughed as the cannons, now ready, fired a double proton beam toward Ezekiel…

And Sharpclaw.

BOOOMMM!!!

A massive explosion erupted. Sharpclaw felt the beam piercing his chest and stomach, incinerating his entire torso. The searing light engulfed him completely, disintegrating him on the spot.

“Y-You bastard…!”

Simultaneously, Ezekiel took the beam head-on. His powerful armor initially resisted the immense heat, capable of melting mountains…

But cracks soon spiderwebbed across it. Ezekiel was blasted away, crashing deep into the forest. His armor, burned and shattered, revealed a large, smoldering wound across his chest.

“U-ugh…! Haaa…! Impossible! What sort of attack was that?! Technology from this era?!”

Ezekiel rose swiftly, raising his hands as thousands of giant boulders converged around him, assembling into massive draconic golems that charged toward Ausberth’s army, crushing his soldiers like ants.

“It worked…! It worked! Hahahaha!”

Ausberth laughed, seeing Ezekiel wounded and in pain, far in the distance, raising his army of golems to attack…

But the situation wasn’t as promising as it seemed. The ancient king was undeniably alive and now summoning hundreds of golems, all targeting Ausberth exclusively.

“Go! Bring me that vampire’s head! If he’s related to Vlad, I must secure it!”

Ezekiel stood, seething, and began devouring the corpses of the warriors he’d slain, restoring his stamina as his wound slowly healed.

“Don’t let him recover!”

“What?!”

Ezekiel froze, hearing a voice—not from Ausberth or his army, but one eerily familiar. The realization of its owner ignited his fury.

“Don’t tell me…!”

He spun around, spotting two crimson figures rushing toward him—powerhouses who had been guarding Elderbridge’s outskirts this entire time: Elder Blazing Majin and… someone eerily similar to Ezekiel, clad in a scarlet exoskeleton.

“Who are you?!”

Caught off guard, Ezekiel braced as both figures reached him, their fists slamming into his chest and wound with an explosive surge of their powerful Auras.

BOOOM!

“Guuaaagh?!”

Ezekiel was hurled backward, spreading his wings to barely stabilize in the skies. He glared down in rage, only to see the two figures leap effortlessly into the air toward him.

One was a muscular, red-skinned demon nun, Mother Scarlet, her blazing Aura’s flames searing his chest painfully.

The other was none other than an ancient queen, a sovereign of Obscuritas’ past, like him…

“Insecta?!”

Ezekiel recognized her instantly. How could he not? He had clashed with the Corpse-Eating Crimson-Beetle Queen more than once in their ancient past.

“We meet again, Ezekiel! You look as dashing as ever! Is that a new haircut?”

“HOW ARE YOU HERE?!”

Ezekiel’s Aura erupted, summoning countless wailing souls encased in hard crystals around him. He attempted to encase himself in powerful armor, but Mother Scarlet and Insecta struck his chest again, hurling him to the ground below like a meteor.

BOOOM!

“What’s wrong? You seem quite weak!”

“It seems you know this person, Insecta?”

“Hahaha! He’s an old friend of mine… Don’t mind that. If we have to kill him, so be it.”

Ezekiel boiled with fury as he overheard the women’s casual banter. Standing once more, he summoned two gigantic hands of stone and crystal from the ground.

“This time, for sure…! I’ll make sure to kill you, Insecta!”

RUMBLE!
