“Damn it! We were THIS close to reaching Elderbridge! Why? Just why did this thing have to appear?!” Ausberth complained as his forces clashed against the gigantic Mountain Dragon Golem. Massive boulders rained down upon them, conjured by Ezekiel. “You two bastards better be worth all the money I spent paying you! Kill that thing now!”
The furious vampire demanded that the leaders of the two largest groups of barbarians and bandits get to work. The orc and the werewolf glared back at Ausberth with annoyed expressions. Bloodfang was especially tired of the noble, while Sharpclaw groaned angrily.
“Does he even know the fight we’re fighting wasn’t something he paid us for?!” Sharpclaw roared, his Aura erupting as he destroyed several boulders hurtling toward his men. “I’m getting tired of being ordered by a filthy noble… Can’t we just kill him and take over his kingdom?”
“And have the Vampire Emperor on our tails? You’d better not mess with them for now, Sharpclaw!” Bloodfang said. “I know full well what his wrath can cause… I once had a rival, a fool who kidnapped and killed a family of noble vampires. He was later hunted by the Emperor’s Elite Blood Paladins and tortured and killed in the capital, alongside his entire band!”
“Hah…! No way that’s true! Why would that bastard bother?!” asked the werewolf.
“He may be a ruthless son of a bitch, but you don’t mess with his kids! He lets them kill each other, but if someone outside the family comes after them, then… hahah,” Bloodfang laughed. “If things get worse, we simply escape! I’m not risking my life any further either, but for now, let’s fight! Perhaps that screaming woman with the slime will do something.”
“The what?!” Sharpclaw looked into the distance, gasping as he saw a massive tentacled green slime rushing forward, clashing against the draconic golem and beginning to melt one of its legs.
The aim of the Priestess of the Maiden of the Emerald Sea was clear: she was trying to make the Mountain Dragon Golem collapse under its own weight by destroying one of its legs!
However, Ezekiel easily deduced her plans, smiling viciously as he raised his hand, manifesting a giant accumulation of wailing souls, stones, and crystals to form a colossal hammer.
The hammer’s crystals—mostly fire spirit stones—glowed brightly, igniting the massive weapon as he swung it down.
“{Blazing Golem Hammer}!”
RUMBLE!
The massive hammer came rushing down. The Priestess’ eyes widened as she pushed the countless tentacles of her familiar, with whom she had partially fused, upward.
The Auras of the nearby Paladins fueled her power as she began pushing back against Ezekiel.
“You won’t easily defeat me, fiend from ancient times! You will wail and scream as our beautiful lady consumes you! Eternal happiness and pleasure await you as you become one with her! JOIN HER!”
“I won’t join any of your disgusting Outer Gods, you filthy woman! PERISH THIS INSTANT!”
Ezekiel showcased the power of a True Raid Boss as he raised his other hand. Another blazing hammer, over a hundred meters tall, manifested and rushed toward the priestess and her slime familiar.
“Aaaahh! My goddess! Please save us!”
As she screamed, the hammer slammed into her, its blazing flames consuming her as the slime boiled and evaporated. The flames quickly burned her to a crisp, and her body was swallowed by her slime in a desperate attempt to survive, the creature devouring its own master.
BOOOMMM!!!
Once the second hammer struck, a massive explosion of flames and stones erupted, shattering the ground beneath and setting half of the Dark Forest ablaze. Dark Spirits fled in panic, knowing that despite their strength, they had no chance in such a high-level battle.
“Hmph, pathetic trash, daring to speak of gods I do not worship! The only god all of you should worship is none other than me!” Ezekiel laughed. “Hahahaha! HAHAHAHAHAHA!”
As Ezekiel laughed, Ausberth acted. His machinery, fully loaded and charged, aimed at the leg the priestess had weakened and fired a gigantic proton cannon toward it.
“Go to hell!”
The furious vampire noble screamed as the beam pierced the golem’s leg, destroying it instantly. The weakened state left by the acid was just enough for his cannon to tear through and make the leg crumble.
BOOOM!
“What?!”
Ezekiel looked down angrily, in disbelief, as his golem began to lose balance. It was so colossal that losing one of its four legs was more than enough to make it fall!
“Wait, dammit! How can you…?! Let me make a new leg at least! Don’t fall! Don’t fall, you damned…!”
CRAAASH!
The Mountain Dragon Golem collapsed onto the ground. Falling from such a height while being so enormous dealt significant damage to the creature. Its body cracked, and huge chunks flew in all directions. A massive leg, over two hundred meters long, hurtled toward Elderbridge unintentionally.
“Oh no!”
“The barriers!”
“Quickly, strengthen the barriers!”
“Do it now!”
A werewolf, a yellow goblin, a banshee, and a blood elf panicked. All four—Grayshade, Landy, Oblivia, and Bloodilia—were the nuns of the orphanage.
By Vlad’s decree, they were tasked with protecting Elderbridge at all costs, combining their divine power to channel a giant formation Vlad had prepared beforehand.
In that moment, all four nuns began praying as they saw the massive, mountain-sized leg rushing toward them.
Divine power surged from their bodies, primarily from the Blood Moon Goddess, fueling the formation around the city and strengthening it further, alongside the walls.
At the same time, Camilla, Vlad’s young sister, stared at the scene in disbelief, channeling her Psychic Powers and… the power of the Void she had gained from her dear friend.
“I won’t let you destroy my home!”
