“Damn it!”
“These things sure are hard!”
Bloodclaw and Merneith were forced to defend, cornered against the Psychic Barrier’s walls. Both started destroying the Frost Stinger Missiles one by one, Bloodclaw using her psychic claws and Merneith her mechanical armor.
“What about the rabbit girl?” Bloodclaw asked.
“Her name’s Peperina, and she’s distracting the other!” Merneith said.
Bloodclaw glanced at Peperina for just a moment, but her eyes widened in surprise at what she observed. Peperina was completely controlling the battle, swinging her hammer and crushing the monster’s limbs.
Her flames also burned its tentacles and entire body, weakening the monster and draining their Mana, which was a vital fuel for their aberrant forms.
At the same time, she used the power of her unique ability, controlling the elements around her, such as the stone floor and even the ice, sending it back at the monster, making giant serpents made of stone and ice coil around it, constantly trying to bind it in place.
Her Sapphire of Hope powers also offered additional protection with floating and rotating shields of blue energy, taking on the blows while sending back shockwaves of blue energy.
Peperina seemed to be fighting like a complete veteran of war, when only a few months ago she had only been an Adventurer Guild Receptionist!
“Damn it, she’s good…!” Bloodclaw was jealous, gritting her sharp teeth. “But I’m also good! You haven’t seen everything I can do, foul beast!”
The villainous Saurian stepped forward, her body surging with more power. Ki, Mana, and her Psychic Energy emerging from her very brain started mixing and overflowing, warping space around them.
“This is the pinnacle I could not achieve before, as my Psychic Power was always stuck at Tier 2! Now, I have reached Tier 3, and now… I’ll even go beyond that!”
In Saurian Society, especially among High Saurians, who were usually born with some sort of Psychic Power as Espers due to their highly evolved brains in comparison to the Common Saurians, who were usually more physically gifted in comparison, there were classifications to their levels of Psychic Power.
The amount of Psy Particles within their brains and the amount of kinetic force they could unleash, alongside their control over other people’s minds and even the elements or their environment, were all counted towards this classification.
There was a total of 5 Tiers known among them, where Tier 1 had the most basic Psychic Abilities without anything special, and Tier 5, who were known as Superior Espers, could control elements of nature, shape the world around them, and possess the power to enhance themselves physically to immense levels alongside controlling and brainwashing minds. They were usually the members of the highest echelons or royalty, which Bloodclaw did not belong to…
Always laughed at for being barely Tier 2, Bloodclaw worked hard every day for years to reach the position she got in their society, but ultimately, like the rest, she was discarded once her purpose was accomplished, and she died…
However, upon her resurrection by Bing Xue’s Divine Hand, she was able to reach a new level, her brain being revived and even improved upon through Bing Xue’s powers infused into them, and the other materials she used made Bloodclaw… much more.
Her Psychic Brain had broken through as she gained Enlightenment, and through the combination of foreign energies such as Mana and Ki, she went even higher!
Although Saurians had varied levels of Primal Power, those that were Espers had Psychic Energy that clashed against Primal Power.
Therefore, Primal Power was usually wielded by Champions that were Common Saurians, while the upper echelons of their society, Superior Espers, barely had any in their bodies, usually purging it to let their Psychic Power flow the best.
But now… Bloodclaw was tapping into a power that wasn’t supposed to be there!
Primal Power was coursing through her body, no longer clashing against her Psychic Power.
Her body grew stronger as she suddenly became taller; her thin and small scales became thicker, like hard metallic armor.
And her tail became longer, with a sharp spear made of steel-like scales merged together.
Suddenly she had become as big as the Winter Generals in their mutated forms!
“Woah?! Bloodclaw, you can transform?!”
“RAAAHHHHH!”
Bloodclaw didn’t respond coherently; this form was still a work in progress. It combined psychic power that enhanced her physical abilities to their limits and then applied Primal Power into her entire body.
It tapped deep into her roots as the descendant of the mighty Dinosaurs of a parallel Earth, giving her a bigger, primal form as well!
This was a primal form that she had only seen on the Saurian Champions, the strongest Common Saurians that solely wielded Primal Power, powerhouses that could wrestle against the Superpowered Cavemen of Earth and beat them singlehandedly.
“{Crimson Burst}!”
She roared, her body overflowing with crimson energy, as she clashed against the monster’s stingers, shattering them into pieces one by one with her giant claws. Explosions of crimson flames erupted. Merneith was in awe of Bloodclaw’s potential, even more so when she had barely trained anything with Bing Xue aside from being taught a few basic martial arts and how to tap into her energies better.
CRASH! CRASH! CRASH! CRASH!
Bloodclaw singlehandedly pushed the Winter General back, tanking its deadly blows and not even letting its ice freeze her, as her Psychic Power, when merged with Primal Power, created a flame-like energy that kept her warm and burned her foes’ minds and focus, draining their life lifeforce.
“Amazing, Bloodclaw!”
Merneith was flabbergasted, quickly rushing to help, as the monster roared back, letting out several rays of frost and constantly pushing Bloodclaw back. The Saurian woman had the power to defeat it, but she lacked mastery over her powers and was being pushed and tossed around a lot.
“Now, gather!”
Merneith’s mechanical armor gathered all of its mechanical pieces into a single fist, forming a massive golden hand, slapping the beast down before it could push Bloodclaw back anymore.
BAAAM!
