“How amazing, to think there’s someone who managed to tame and contract Dark Spirits…! Hahaha! Do you even know their true nature and what they are? Born from grief and resentment, they’re nothing but vessels of hatred and dark, impure desires! Perfect to be burned by my soul flames…!”
The Unending Crimson charged at Argentia, smashing his head with its tail and pummeling his gigantic body to the ground. It opened its monstrous crystalline jaws, biting into his flesh, trying to burn him and tear him to shreds simultaneously.
However, Argentia was having none of it. He swiftly punched the creature back in the head, shattering pieces of its crystals, then kicked it in the stomach. As he stood once more, he grabbed the monster by the tail, hurling it through the air.
CRAAASH!
The Unending Crimson’s body crashed into a forest, its aura incinerating the trees to ashes within seconds. It slowly rose, and nearby golems were quickly corrupted by its flames, burning and mutating into Blazing Golems—stronger, more aggressive versions of their former selves.
“My little flames… go! Burn everything! Burn as much as you possibly can!”
As it laughed, the golems rushed forward. Their flames spread like an infection, burning other golems and transforming them into monstrous Blazing Gole ms. Their shapes turned aberrant, with humanoid heads, eyes, or mouths sprouting from red, orange, and yellow burning crystals across their bodies.
Ezekiel had already realized something was wrong with his Familiars. The golems he had created were acting strangely… He didn’t care if they died, but they weren’t just dying—some were being stripped from his control.
“Just what’s happening now?! Are my golems being taken by another power? How…?!”
As he battled Vlad’s Doppelganger, his eyes sharpened. There was something suspicious about it and that man. It wasn’t speaking at all and moved almost mechanically, its actions becoming too predictable…
Yet, it was persistent and strong, evading attacks and retaliating with magic spells and basic weapon strikes, enhanced with flames. This forced Ezekiel and his giant Mountain Dragon Golem to struggle, even if only slightly.
“Damned bug! Come here!”
It was like a human trying to catch an incredibly fast, yet small and weak insect. It wasn’t about power—the human could crush the insect easily. The challenge lay in the insect’s speed and sharp reflexes, making it difficult for the human to even touch it.
“This is weird, everything is weird…! I don’t like this…!”
As this unfolded, the Blazing Golems charged toward Argentia, who swiftly began crushing them with his claws and trampling them underfoot. His monstrous, dark new form was powerful, granting him vast energy reserves, but it was also volatile, turning him into a crazed berserker who craved only blood.
“WRAAAAAHHH!”
Roaring, he opened his jaws, gathering Dark Spirit Energy and unleashing a massive black beam. It decimated and pulverized dozens of Blazing Golems, scorching the surroundings and nearly killing a few nearby army soldiers.
BOOOM!
“Hahaha! Is the power of the Dark Spirits too much for you, little lizard?!”
The Unending Crimson mocked Argentia, knocking him down with a swipe of its tail and pummeling his body with giant blazing fists made of its crystals…
CLASH! CLASH! CLASH! CLASH!
“STOP!”
A roar echoed behind it as a wave of frost slammed into the vessel, weakening its flames. Dozens of icicle spears descended, piercing its crystalline body and spreading more frost.
“Oh my, you’re the most persistent! Burn already!”
The Unending Crimson lost its patience, unleashing a powerful Heat Wave that struck Teressa, sending her plummeting from the skies. Her powers were overwhelmed by the immense heat.
“Ugh…! Vlad…!”
As she closed her eyes, falling from such a height, a figure emerged, catching her and swiftly descending, setting her gently atop the snow she had created.
“Eh? Huh?”
A healing elixir of blood was quickly placed in her mouth, feeding her the blood and rapidly healing her injuries.
“You’re…? My son?”
She noticed the figure—a knight clad in black and red armor, adorned with glowing, blazing crystals. It was indeed him.
“Sorry for being late, Mother. We had to prepare…! You’ve done more than enough, but we might still need your help. Can you support us?”
“Of course!”
Meanwhile, Gofumina and Ermelinda were already wearing new armor. Vlad had passed by them, sharing his armor to give them a fighting chance against the Blazing Golems.
“We’ll keep them at bay!” Ermelinda said.
“Go! Don’t worry about us or the golems!” Gofumina roared.
Both girls cleared a path for mother and son to regroup with Argentia and Alitheus. The Unending Crimson Vessel roared back at Argentia, rapidly burning and tearing off his dark, slimy armor, forged from the Dark Spirit possessing him.
“YOUR TRANSFORMATION IS MERELY A LITTLE DISGUISE. YOU’RE NOTHING BUT A SMALL, PITIFUL LIZARD! YOUR FLAME IS NOT EVEN WORTHY OF BURNING ANYTHING!”
“RAAAAHHHH!”
Argentia struggled and roared until the very last moment. As his throat was about to be crushed, a glowing arrow descended, striking the Unending Crimson’s Vessel and blowing apart half of its crystal-made face.
BOOOM!
“Ugh?!”
The Unending Crimson glanced into the skies, spotting a half-incubus, half-fairy holding a majestic bow. A single arrow from it had dealt this much damage…
“That’s enough, shithead! You’re fighting us now!”
As Chris roared, Vlad and Teressa appeared at his left and right. The Unending Crimson couldn’t help but smile.
“Aaaaahh! Despite all odds, you keep fighting, you keep burning brightly, my dear flames! This is it! This is what I wanted to see! It makes me feel so alive! Let’s ascend together! Let us reach Nirvana as we burn through the Seven Paths to Hell!”
The Unending Crimson laughed, spreading its arms and sprouting dozens more from its body. Even as its vessel crumbled, new crystals grew effortlessly as it wished. Giant arms of blazing red, orange, and yellow crystals stretched into the skies, reaching incredible distances.
