Once finally reunited with the rest of her family as they confronted Lucifer, Anna unleashed her new powers after “taming” Legion.

She had realized quite recently that these Demons and their power, based on Demonic Energy, seemed rather effective against Lucifer.

Despite being much weaker than he was, they were able to hold their own by fighting together as one despite the odds against them.

It was just a theory, but Anna started to realize that beings with similar Story Origins could deal more damage to each other.

And maybe that was also why some monsters could be so damn tough when human hunters battled them. A difference between the laws governing their worlds clashed, creating a distortion that made them stronger against beings whose origins weren’t the same.

Hence, Anna realized that fighting fire with fire might be the best option against Lucifer, bringing out her Demons and then using her new ability to combine them, further unleashing their latent potential!

She was quite surprised that their bonds were so deep, realizing they weren’t as one-dimensional as they appeared in the novel.

In fact, nobody was. The novel was but a surface-level description of events, mostly through Jack’s perspective. Naturally, foes he killed in a single battle and never saw again would never have their real backstories revealed.

But because Anna was giving them all a second chance to amend for what they’d done and work together with her for the possibility of creating their own World where Demons could finally live in peace, away from Lucifer’s tyranny…

They were beginning to show their true colors—their personalities, their bonds, what made them who they were. And just like Inferna and the other Demons Anna had helped, Astaroth and the rest were much more complex. At the end of the day, they were people too. 

“You’ve shown me your beautiful bonds! So combine and unleash your latent potential! I bless you with the power of Love!” 

Although it sounded cringy to her, Anna said it without holding back, realizing that her Love and Princess Traits worked best when she communicated verbally with others. As cringy as her words could be, they ignited the hearts of the demons and her family with new strength, with pink flames of love. 

FLAAASH! 

“RAAAAHHH!” 

Astaroth and Aim screamed as their bodies fused, combining into a gigantic demon like nothing they’d seen before. Resembling a golden dragon encased in armor made of thunderbolts, with leopard-like markings over his golden scales, six arms, and gigantic, fur-covered wings.

As the other demons saw their new, monstrous, and powerful form, they began to combine one by one, even against their own will…

Neberius and Agares merged, manifesting a giant black knight with armor resembling a crow, four black winged wings, and a powerful shadow sword.

Jeremias and Bael combined as well, creating a tall, muscular, red-skinned, imp-faced demon wearing black and red armor and wielding a staff topped with a rubric cube.

And lastly, Anna combined Legion and Nemesis, creating a giant, bird-faced mechanical goliath with hundreds of mechanical arms surging from his back. 

“W-What in the world is this?!” Neberius and Agares spoke at the same time. “CRAAAH!” Their fusion seemed to be dominated mostly by Neberius’ mind, surprisingly. 

“I feel… No, WE feel stronger now!” Jeremias and Bael said. “Yes, this power…! Jeremias, I’ll show you how to truly use it!” Bael had overtaken Jeremias easily, taking charge of the fusion. 

“GRUOOOHHHH!” And Legion and Nemesis were… well, the same type of demons, so they got along quite nicely. 

Each fusion exuded tremendous power like nothing before! In fact, their combined power was higher than the normal sum of their individual power levels.

This meant that fusion made them much stronger than if the two were working together against a foe.

Although they also felt it was an unstable technique—their souls and bodies constantly shaking and trembling—they would need a lot of practice before truly mastering this new ability. 

As Anna finished preparing, Lucifer was already charging toward them. 

“I’LL KILL YOU ALL!!!” 

He seemed utterly furious at this travesty before him. To see these demons he deemed weaklings combine to unleash further power? It was sacrilegious to use something as stupid and undemonic as “love” and “hope” to amplify their strength even further.

Lucifer believed in the true demonic nature, where demons had to devour each other to become more powerful, inheriting the strength and soul powers of the devoured.

Only the strong deserved to survive and prosper as they grew and devoured.

The weak? They were only food for the strong!

But Anna’s ideals and how her powers worked defied this primordial law that existed not just in all of the 999 Hells, but perhaps across the entire Multiverse.

Only by being selfish and caring about yourself could you prevail and survive. Bonds, friendship, working together? All of that was meaningless in the face of the universe’s cruelty.

Lucifer had seen countless worlds fall one after another, reinforcing his ideals that this was the only way someone could lead a proper life.

But now… that was about to change. His ideals were being challenged, all by the human girl who had killed his “pet.” 

“GO!” 

As Anna roared, she charged forward, leading her entire group as the fused demons rushed by her left and right, unleashing their combined demonic auras.

The Heavenly Empress and her son were behind her, while Fang Shuan, within Anna’s golden armor, rapidly began to expand further through her body. 

“For this, I have to go even further beyond… My Heavenly Princess of Love Transformation, I have to combine it with my Golden Morphin Armor…!”

Anna began combining her two strongest forms so far, as cosmic power, heavenly ki of hope, love, and cursed ki from her demonic cursed marks converged with Fang Shuan’s mechanical armor, further mixing with the Cosmic Souls of Sepa and Bastet, and her White Tiger and Shadow Fox Transformations. 

“HAAAAAHHH!” 

As she confronted the titanic draconic claws of Lucifer’s draconic vessel, Anna’s clothes and armor suddenly merged, covering her with a beautiful pink and golden armor decorated with hearts, feathered wings, demonic wings, cats, centipedes, tigers, foxes, and more.

As Anna saw the notifications, she quickly materialized several katanas made of golden light, keeping only Gram from fusing with the rest of her armor. 

CLASH! CLASH! CLASH! CLASH! 

Her swords clashed against Lucifer’s claws at once as the monstrous dragon, which kept growing out of proportion while summoning demonic beasts that he devoured to recover his energy, opened his many jaws, preparing to attack Anna with seven dragon breaths at near point-blank range. 

“DIIEEEEE!” 

All seven of his draconic heads roared, unleashing seven dragon breaths resembling spiraling beams of black and red flames, twisting and warping space as they rushed toward her! 

However… 

“Not on my watch, filthy demon!” 

Her aura erupted as the figure of Fang Shuan emerged from within, wielding a giant spear made of pink and golden flames. Through his fusion with her armor and powers, he could temporarily become her Ego as well!

His form wasn’t just that, as he quickly divided himself into dozens of copies. Formerly a monster inside a dungeon, Fang Shuan, had not only regained his sanity and memories of who he truly was thanks to Anna, but through his journey in Bestia, he had learned many new things and continued to improve himself without end.

His soul blazed with immense power, synchronizing with Anna’s attacks as he unleashed his strongest technique multiple times at once, overwhelming Lucifer in a mere second. 

“{Golden Dragon Spear Techniques}: {Golden Dragon’s Ascension}!” 

"ROOOAAARRR!"

The technique impacted Lucifer dozens of times in that mere second. His draconic breaths were destroyed by golden dragon-shaped explosions of ki that emerged from the Soul Spears Fang Shuan conjured one after another. 

BOOOM! BOOOM! BOOOM! BOOOM! BOOOM! 

"UUUGGHH...?!"

As the King of All Evil received massive damage over and over, he rapidly continued devouring his own summons to recover.

Clinging to life, he was being pushed to the limits of what a vessel of his creation could achieve.

And his soul?

It was constantly gaining more and more cracks…
