As Fiery Hair was freed from her eternal ice seal and rushed to join her son, and while Mursha and Kalana fought the Ice Beasts and the rest protected the civilians and pushed the creatures away, Bloodclaw glared at the two Winter Generals. Her crimson eyes blazed with conviction and ruthlessness. She had trapped them within a Psychic Barrier of her own creation, aiming to kill them.
By Bloodclaw’s side were Peperina and Merneith. Both had decided to remain with her as she faced the Winter Generals, trying to keep her from going overboard, as Bloodclaw had much looser morals than the two, to their misfortune. They weren’t as ruthless as the Saurian woman, and their personalities and morals were as different as heaven and earth.
However, all three united for the same purpose: fighting for Bing Xue, their friends, and the innocents they desired to protect… or, well, not so much on Bloodclaw’s side. She was simply furious that the Winter Generals had dared to interrupt her meal and caused such a ruckus.
Using her powers, Bloodclaw had ruthlessly smashed both Winter Generals into the ground, nearly killing them on the spot after trapping them inside the Psychic Barrier. However, when Coldwind transformed, a wave of power reached the two Winter Generals. The Frost Ants suddenly mutated into Ice Beast-hybrid monstrosities, sprouting new arms, legs, wings, and heads, and overflowing with an otherworldly power beyond Bloodclaw’s comprehension.
“What in the world is happening to them?”
Bloodclaw asked angrily, gritting her teeth as she saw the two Winter Generals become possessed by their new, feral forms, no longer showing any signs of intelligence.
"GRUOOOHHHH!"
“SHYAAAAGGGH!”
“Whatever it is, I don’t think you can handle them alone anymore, Bloodclaw!” Peperina said. The power of the Sapphire of Hope empowered her Aura as she held her fiery hammer, creating a unique combination of Moonlight Flames and Blue Sapphire of Hope Aura. “So let’s work together!”
Deep down, Peperina knew this was a test for her, and she wanted to fight through it to improve her abilities further. Although she knew the Sapphire of Hope wouldn’t be hers forever, as she planned to one day return it to its original owner, she wanted to push herself to her limits and grow stronger to explore the Tower alongside Bing Xue and her new friends.
“It’s not like you have any other option, Bloodclaw!” Merneith smiled, her Golden Bloodline Aura surging from her body as she was suddenly encased in mechanical armor.
This golden mechanical armor wasn’t her powerful Machine God but a Mechanical Armor prototype created by her brother and the other workers inside Bing Xue’s Inner Realm. It was an Immortal Machine Armor Prototype, reacting to Golden Bloodlines similarly to Machine Gods.
Although not as powerful, when imbued with Golden Bloodline Power, Ki, Mana, and her Gaoranger Powers, Merneith could feel it overflowing with strength, giving her the additional boost she might need against these strange new opponents.
“Oh well, whatever! Let’s just get this over with…!” Bloodclaw slammed the ground with her long tail, a gesture Saurians typically made when very angry or aroused—and it definitely wasn’t the latter.
FLUOSH!
Her psychic powers surged like a wave of crimson light. Bloodclaw pointed her claws forward, and the wave of psychic energy clashed against the two mutated Winter Generals. A powerful shockwave of energies erupted. Ice against psychic power.
BOOOM!
Crimson and azure light exploded, shaking the surroundings and Bloodclaw’s Psychic Barrier. She saw both monsters rush forward, their appearances warped and hard to describe, but Bloodclaw thought they resembled ugly spiders with tiny abdomens and bodies, long legs tipped with sharp, needle-like spikes, and butterfly-like wings on their small abdomens.
“GRYSHAAAAH!”
Completely immune to her psychic attack, they roared and charged, swinging their giant claws at her. Bloodclaw deftly dodged, leaping from one place to another with masterful control over her body, boosting her physical strength and agility with her Psychic Power. She combined Martial Arts briefly taught by Bing Xue with her innate abilities as an Esper.
CLASH! CLASH! CLASH!
Each blow shook the ground and spread large cracks, but Bloodclaw remained calm and composed, concentrating on her new Ki and Mana Energies and blending them with her Psychic Power to create a unique evolution of her Esper Abilities.
“{Crimson Raptorial Claws}!”
She lunged forward, her claws glowing and transforming into gigantic crimson claws of ethereal energy. They clashed against the mutated Winter General’s needle-like legs, pushing them back and shattering their legs into pieces one by one.
CRASH! CRASH! CRASH!
As the brittle, ice crystal-like legs fell apart, the Winter General Bloodclaw targeted collapsed, hissing and shooting beams of frost energy. She swiftly evaded with her great speed and dexterity.
“I got you!”
She smiled viciously, her eyes glowing bright red. Bloodclaw swung her claws, her Psychic Power surging as several crimson claws tore through the monster, ripping its armor apart piece by piece.
“Hahahah! How truly weak you are! And you thought I would fear you, aberrant monster?! You’ll pay for daring to interrupt my meal!”
As she laughed, Bloodclaw completely missed the blue tentacles surging from the monster’s wounds. They wrapped around her legs and suddenly lifted her up.
“What?!”
She gasped in disbelief, panicking as the beast held her upside down and pointed a large stinger from its abdomen, made of hardened ice, rushing toward her chest.
"You dare...?!"
She groaned furiously, forming several barriers of psychic power, but each shattered one after another. She had no time to escape as the stinger reached her and…
CRAAASH!
It shattered into pieces. A huge mechanical golden fist punched it apart as Merneith appeared just in time to save Bloodclaw.
“Bloodclaw! We can’t fight these guys alone. They’re weird!”
“Hmph, I can very much fight on my own! But… thank you.”
Bloodclaw swung her claws, slashing the tentacles and escaping the monster’s grasp, a second before several new stingers appeared and were fired like missiles at her and Merneith.
