Astaroth’s eyes widened, realizing that despite having known each other for thousands of years… 

“You have my back, and I have yours…” 

Aim had never forgotten the time he’d said that. 

“Aim…!” 

Astaroth started crying out of nowhere, hugging Aim tightly. 

“Let me go, you fucking piece of shit! Agh! Oi! Look! Lucifer is coming! Hey! We have to do something, you dumbass!” 

“We’re friends! Friends!” 

“AAAAGGGHHH! I SWEAR I SHOULD HAVE KILLED YOU BACK THEN!!!” 

As Aim began to regret ever saying all those corny things… 

“That was love at its purest form. How beautiful. To think even Demons feel love.” 

“{Heavenly Myriad Blade Arts}” 

SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! 

“UGH?!”

“Huh?!”

“W-Wha…?!” 

In that moment, Lucifer, Astaroth, and Aim glanced into the skies as a rain of pink-colored slashing flames sliced through all of Lucifer’s heads and arms within a split second. 

“{Loveless Slash Assault}” 

As Lucifer was sliced apart and the trio saw the origin of that technique, her eyes shone bright pink, hearts manifesting through her blazing pink and golden aura.

And… 

BOOOM! BOOOM! BOOOM!

Countless explosions reverberated around her. The Demonic Beasts were thrown away, burning with pink flames, while Lucifer himself started exploding, countless tumor-like growths bursting out. 

“UUUGRAAAARRGGGHHH…! W-WHAT IS THIS?! WHAT IS THIS AGONY?!” 

As Lucifer cried in utter horror, the culprit behind his pain appeared, standing in front of Aim and Astaroth.

Protecting her former enemies. 

“Love is more complex than you imagine, Lucifer. It is an emotion that connects us all. Why does it hurt so much, you say? Well, this technique deals more damage and pain the less love you feel for others—or even yourself. And well, it looks like you’ve got a lot of issues you don’t want to talk about, huh?!” 

“A-ANNA…! YOU… FUCKING… BITCH…! LEGION…! WHERE’S LEGION AT—AH?!” 

Lucifer’s eyes widened as he saw hundreds of gigantic arms appear above him, suddenly pummeling him with immense strength. 

BAAM! BAAM! BAAM!

“AAARRGGH?! LEGION… YOU DARE…?!” 

Lucifer was thrown down into the oceans below, splashing them and creating countless massive ripples everywhere. 

“Legion doesn’t answer to a tyrannical king anymore, Lucifer! He’s my new ally, right?” 

“OOOOHHHH!” 

Legion wasn’t great with words, so he just groaned loudly, countless voices accompanying him.

The truth was that, like these Demonic Beasts, Legion hadn’t been born this way but was made by Lucifer.

Anna found out quickly when she read through his soul and saw his memories.

He held the connected memories of hundreds of demons Lucifer had tortured and patched together into this abomination. 

“Legion…! That’s… Wait, Master Anna! You saved us!” Astaroth was overjoyed, carrying Aim in his claws. 

“Let go of me!” Aim quickly broke free, feeling flustered for no good reason. “Master! You’re back and… Is that Legion?!” 

“Yes, I’ve recruited him into the team. Say hi to your junior~!” Anna winked, smiling with more confidence than ever before. 

“A-Ah… Hi…” Aim’s eyebrows twitched as he saw the monstrous being look at him with its countless arms. “Oh wow… I never thought this could happen. But Centurion and Morox… Well, I guess those bastards don’t matter.” 

“Anna!” The Heavenly Empress called for her. 

“Coming!” 

Anna nodded, getting serious, and disappeared in an explosion of pink, heart-shaped flames. 

FLASH! 

Resembling a pink and gold blur, she appeared in front of her master and adoptive mother. 

“{Heavenly Myriad Blade Arts}” 

Her eyes shone brightly, her Aura overflowing with power like never before. 

“Anna’s Aura… It has grown so strong?! This is… She’s constantly evolving!” 

“{Blazing Loving Embrace}” 

SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!

The dozens of Demonic Beasts around Anna and her mother were suddenly slashed apart by her pink flames and swords, and then… 

POOF! POOF! POOF!

The Demonic Beasts’ monstrous bodies were discarded entirely as smaller demon people fell from them, unconscious. 

“I knew it… They weren’t true monsters this entire time…!” 

The Heavenly Empress had felt something strange about these creatures, but due to the desperate situation, she’d been forced to slay them anyway. 

“Don’t blame yourself for that, Mother. You didn’t know… Even now, their souls have been so corroded, I’m not even sure if they’ll ever wake up.” 

Anna’s Purgatory expanded into dozens of portals, catching all the demons she’d turned back to normal and placing them inside her Demonic Realm, where they would be safe. 

As this happened, Anna saw her demons reach her, with Song right behind them. 

“So you’re back, Master,” Bael said. 

“CRAAH! About damn time!” Neberius cried. 

“What took you so long—LEGION?!” Agares was shocked. 

“M-Master, please let me go back to the Realm! I’m so scared! I wasn’t made for these large-scale battles!” Jeremias kept crying constantly. As an artificial demon spirit, he was not used to any of this at all. 

“Sorry, Jeremias, but you’re strong, so I want you to fight with everyone else, alright?” Anna asked. 

“Anna! You’re back! Thank the heavens!” Song hugged Anna happily as she patted his head and kissed his forehead. 

“Yeah, don’t worry too much about me, little brother,” Anna smiled. “I’ll always come back.” 

“Hahah! Such arrogance. You sure act like your father sometimes, huh?” The Heavenly Empress let out a small laugh. 

Suddenly, the entire atmosphere changed when she arrived.

The despair they felt, everything…

It was gone!

Anna changed everything, always.

There was something magical about her that soothed people’s hearts and made them feel more united than ever before. 

RUMBLE! 

The seas beneath trembled as something enormous emerged while Anna was talking with her mom and brother. 

SPLAAASH! 

“ANNAAAAAAA! I’LL DEVOUR YOUR DAMN SOUL NO MATTER WHAT!!!” 

The entity that emerged from the oceans was, of course, HIM.

Lucifer.

His monstrous body had become draconic and Kraken-like too.

While underwater, he’d eaten hundreds of oceanic martial beasts, assimilating them into his body to desperately gain mass.

But even then, he looked like he was struggling to hold himself together anymore…

Could he even count as a dragon anymore?

Well, he did have scales and everything, so Anna had faith. 

“Alright, buddy, time for you to finally have a good meal… Let’s hope you don’t get a stomachache, though.” 

Anna looked at her precious blade, the one that had helped her start her entire journey, Gram.

He seemed to be still sleeping, but his Aura…

It responded to her. 

FLUOSH! 

Black and White Auras surged from his blade, encompassing Anna entirely, combining with her own and turning into countless golden and pink dragon heads roaring, coiling around her. 

“He’s hungry…!” 

Anna smiled, feeling slightly happy her friend was still hanging in there.

But she didn’t have much time before he went into an eternal sleep.

It was now or never. 

“Anna, the only way to defeat him is by attacking him together,” her mother said, her eyes shining brightly as she held her katana. 

“Yeah…” Song nodded. “He seems to have a very strong protective layer of demonic energy around his core… If we can shatter it, then…” 

“We’ll be able to detach his power from the avatar he’s created and send him back to whichever godforsaken hell he came from,” the Heavenly Empress sighed. 

“That’s a good plan,” Anna nodded. “But we can make it even better.” 

Anna smiled as she whisked her fingers. 

FLAAASH! 

Aim and Astaroth began floating in midair, their auras merging. 

“You guys will help us do something even crazier to Lucifer, so combine!” 

“We’re fusing?!” 

“W-Wait…! Wait a second!” 

Astaroth and Aim screamed as their bodies fused, combining into a gigantic demon like nothing they’d seen before.

Resembling a golden dragon covered with lightning everywhere, with leopard-like markings over his golden scales, six arms, and gigantic, fur-covered wings. 

“T-This power…! It’s amazing!” 

Astaroth and Aim had fused into an even stronger demon! 

“They fused?!” Neberius asked. “CRAAAH?!” 

“T-That’s insane…” Jeremias cried. 

“Yeah, and you guys are joining together too! Let’s kill Lucifer right here, right now!” Anna said. 

Her powers manifested as all the demons began merging together, her limit being only two per fusion. 

Neberius and Agares merged, manifesting a giant black knight with armor resembling a black crow, four black-winged wings, and holding a powerful shadow sword.

Jeremias and Bael combined as well, creating a tall, muscular, red-skinned, imp-faced demon wearing black and red armor and wielding a staff topped with a Rubik’s Cube.

And lastly, Anna combined Legion and Nemesis, creating a giant bird-faced mechanical goliath with hundreds of mechanical arms surging from his back. 

Each fusion exuded tremendous power, like nothing ever before! 

“I know it’s shocking, guys, but you have to get used to your new forms quickly. He’s coming!” 

As Anna finished preparing, Lucifer was already on his way toward them. 

“I’LL KILL YOU ALL!!!”
