The Heavenly Martial Empress Returns Chapter 325: The Eternal Coldness Vessel

-----

Ding!

[The Alien God {Eternal Coldness} has manifested. With her Apostle now in a state of unending slumber, she has decided to bless a new candidate with her eternal frost.]

[The {Winter General: Coldwind} has been chosen as one of her new Blessed Vessels.]

FLUOSH!

Rainbow Eyes watched as Coldwind’s entire body was consumed by countless blue, fleshy tendrils and frost, forming an aberrant cocoon that encapsulated her completely. It took only a second. As he battled her Ice Golems one by one, he saw the cocoon suddenly shatter and break apart. Coldwind, having finished eating that Winter-Rank Ice Beast Heart, emerged transformed—mutated.

But it wasn’t just the heart she’d devoured. No, it was also due to a strange, bizarre power coming from somewhere else… somewhere beyond the Tower itself! This aberrant energy spread everywhere, and Rainbow Eyes saw the Ice Golems begin to transform, merging into monstrous creatures.

They gained blue and white cold flesh—similar yet distinct from the flesh of living beings. Countless blue and silver eyes sprouted, along with tentacles and giant limbs, sharp jaws with white teeth. Their auras exuded an alien power, divine yet warped.

“What the…?!”

Rainbow Eyes stared at the scene in disbelief, his Demonic Rage slowly receding as he watched the monsters emerge one by one, and Coldwind’s new form appear.

“Hahaha! Yes! I’ve been blessed! My body, my soul! I am now one with the Queen’s benefactor! I am the Vessel of a Great Being!”

Her body fully emerged, revealing an aberrant appearance. Though she remained mostly insectoid, her arms and legs were now made of the same strange, alien material as the mutated Ice Golems—blue and white fleshy tendrils wrapped together, covered in an exoskeleton of ice crystals. Her head was enormous, adorned with several blue eyes and long antennae shaped like sharp blades.

She had grown over fifty meters tall, towering above everything. Her expansion destroyed half the Anthill, and the Red Ants screamed, fleeing as far as possible, though several were caught in the rubble.

“Someone help…!”

“Mamaaaa!”

“Ugh, I can’t move!”

“My leg is crushed…”

As the Red Ants despaired, all the Frost Ants in the vicinity began convulsing in pain, their Auras growing stronger. Suddenly, they sprouted blue and white fleshy tendrils, blue eyes appeared across their bodies, and they started mutating, growing larger and more monstrous.

“The Eternal Coldness…!”

“She has manifested…!”

“Bring forth eternal winter…!”

“Freeze the world!”

They spoke in unison, as if all the Frost Ants had become one with a hive mind that consumed any semblance of independence. They advanced toward the struggling Red Ants, freezing them and sealing them into Ice Statues, similar to what had happened to Fiery Hair.

“Stop that!”

However, Bing Xue’s family wouldn’t stand idly by as things worsened. Athena’s voice reverberated behind them as she kicked the head off one of the Mutated Frost Ants, spreading her bright white light toward the victims, preventing them from being fully sealed.

“Are you okay? Please run away!”

She healed them with her abilities and set them free. The Red Ants screamed and fled, too panicked to thank her.

“Insolent heretic…”

“You dare not… embrace the cold?”

“You must die this instant.”

“Freeze to death!”

“Eternally trapped within the ice of our cold mother!”

“What?!”

Athena’s eyes widened as she saw the Frost Ant whose head she’d kicked off stand up, headless, and advance toward her, accompanied by other Mutated Frost Ants.

“What in the world is going on here?!”

Merkite roared, catching up to her daughter. Her Aura of Emerald Winds unleashed, shaping into countless Wind Sickles that tore the Mutated Frost Ants to shreds.

SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!

“Dear, you jumped in out of nowhere—be careful!”

Merkite ran toward her daughter as Athena glanced at the Frost Ants with worry, then back at her mother.

“I don’t know what’s going on. Whatever Rainbow Eyes is fighting is suddenly mutating all the Frost Ants… I think this has to do with whoever is behind this Ice Queen!” she said. “I wasn’t born back then, but, Mom, you said something about Mama beating this goddess, right?”

“Yes, it was her Avatar. We came here to finish that job,” Merkite nodded. “But to think things were much more complicated… Was that Ant Queen borrowing power from some sort of other entity? An Alien God?”

“I think so!” Athena nodded, her brilliant mind rapidly piecing together the entire picture from the available clues. “I think this entity, the Alien God known as the Eternal Coldness, was using that Ice Ant Queen as a vessel to spread her powers through this World—perhaps to grow stronger or feed? I don’t know, but the thing is, since Mama crippled her and made her fall into a slumber, she’s been trying to find a new vessel, and now she has—in the Ant Rainbow Eyes is fighting!”

“Amazing, you figured everything out already, dear?” Merkite was impressed by her brilliant daughter’s deductions. “I’m fairly sure Bing Xue is fighting a few of those Winter Generals… Bloodclaw and the others are handling the two other Winter Generals they trapped. I think we should help the Red Ants evacuate and then rejoin Rainbow Eyes.”

“Will he be alright?!” Athena worried about her little brother.

“He’s strong, just like you, so I have faith he can keep up with that thing for a while. Let’s hurry!” Merkite said, and her daughter nodded.

“Okay, Mommy!” Athena agreed, both mother and daughter rushing to help the wounded. They moved boulders, tore Mutated Frost Ants to shreds, healed the victims, and let them escape as far as possible.

While doing so, Urbosa, Hekita, and Orion quickly joined them, rushing to their side and smashing groups of Mutated Frost Ants trying to block their way.

“Orion! You came!” Athena smiled happily as she saw Orion. “Wait, Auntie Urbosa and Sister Hekita are here? Who’s taking care of the Winter Generals then?”

“Yeah, we had to!” Orion said. “Those two Winter Generals are being handled by Bloodclaw, Peperina, and Merneith! Auntie Mursha and Kalana are protecting Fiery Hair while fighting the Mutated Frost Ants and those weird monsters. Are those the Ice Beasts? I didn’t expect them to look so weird! I imagined they’d be made of snow or something!”

Orion swung his fists, unleashing explosions of white flames and golden light, making the Ice Beasts and Mutated Frost Ants explode into shreds, unable to regenerate.
