Her newfound resolve and awakening powers enabled her to break free from the despair that had twisted and warped her abilities into something that seemed born from the void itself. Although Anna was unaware, those who witnessed that entity were left perplexed.

Except for one—the one who had provoked this reaction and had planned for Anna to succumb to such despair.

He had hoped that she would fall into despair after he toyed with and killed her masters, and that this overwhelming despair would give birth to a Calamity.

Yet, the outcome couldn’t have been more different from what he had anticipated.

“She fell into slumber?! After all that, she still didn’t give in to despair, even when I killed someone so precious to her?! W-What is this damn brat? Despite acting erratic and almost foolish, Lucifer was a shrewd trickster. He enjoyed playing the clown, the beast, and the monster, but deep within his mind, he was a calculating psychopath.

When he saw his meticulous plan crumble so easily, he felt immense frustration, glaring at Anna and her family with utter hatred. 

“What is this bullshit?! Oh well, I’ll simply have to kill the rest of your wholesome friends to see you fall into despair again, right? It shouldn’t be too hard!” 

As he spoke with a voice that reverberated through the world, the Heavenly Empress noticed him vanish in an explosion of darkness before reappearing above her.

His shapeless form swung its many tentacles and claws, unleashing a relentless barrage of attacks blazing with demonic flames capable of burning souls—the same flames that had incinerated the soul of the Heavenly Demon. 

“{Soul-Burning Hellish Inferno}!” 

It wasn’t just an ability but a Demonic Skill. Even Constellations had access to such formidable powers, and one from Lucifer was nothing to scoff at. Immensely powerful, it unleashed a catastrophic onslaught upon the Heavenly Empress. 

CLASH! CLASH! CLASH! CLASH!

“Unngggh?!” 

She gritted her beak tightly as she barely held back against his immense strength. Her Aura erupted, and her Heavenly Divine Imperial Armament materialized—the pinnacle of Spiritual Arts—forming a colossal golden Buddha with dozens of hands, each golden palm over ten meters tall. 

“{Heavenly Palms of Tranquility}!” 

BAAM! BAAM! BAAM!

She countered with her remarkable technique, pushing Lucifer back slightly, though he persisted with his assault, rapidly opening his jaws to gather darkness, void, and demonic energy into a single point. 

“You’re strong, but not enough to stand against me! Even within a vessel, I am invincible! Your beloved sacrificed his life, and even he couldn’t kill me! And you think you can do it without risking your own life?! DON’T MAKE ME LAUGH, HAHAHAHA!” 

TRUUUM! 

The beam struck the Heavenly Empress at near point-blank range. It was clear why he had lunged at her so swiftly—he wanted to kill her before Anna could intervene, plunging Anna into even deeper despair. 

And yet… 

“Don’t underestimate me!” 

The Heavenly Empress roared, her Buddha transforming into a massive golden and black shield emblazoned with the symbol of Yin and Yang at its center. 

“{Heavenly Imperial Armament}: {Thousand-Layered Yinyang Aegis}!” 

BOOOMMM!!! 

The colossal explosion struck her shield, which absorbed most of the damage before shattering into fragments and exploding in front of her—or it would have, had she not escaped beforehand. 

“What?! I thought you were a respected Venerable here, cute bird! What happened?! Running with your tail between your legs? Hah! Or should I say with your FEATHERS between your legs, hmm~?” 

Lucifer grew furious as he looked around, realizing the prideful Heavenly Empress had chosen to retreat rather than confront him head-on, using the shield as a decoy to escape. 

“Never try to make a joke again. You suck.” 

“Huh?!” 

His eyes widened as Anna appeared behind him. She had somehow sneaked past amidst the smoke from his attack, her Aura erupting with immense power as her Myriad Self Arts manifested dozens of her Egos, fusing and melding into a pure, rainbow-colored essence. 

“{Myriad Self Arts}: {Thousand-Fold Fist}!” 

Anna’s fists surged forward, striking the Demon’s body as Heavenly and Celestial flames of pink and gold burned his skin and soul. But they weren’t just two fists—there were a thousand of them striking simultaneously. 

“GUH?!” 

Unable to respond to such an absurd technique, Lucifer felt his entire body battered by blows from every angle. The attack speed was nearly instantaneous; each of Anna’s punches was multiplied a thousandfold across his body! 

He screamed in agony as his body was riddled with countless holes, pieces of his flesh exploding and turning to ashes without end! 

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

“W-WHAT IS THIS TECHNIQUE?! I-IT DOESN’T MAKE ANY FUCKING SENSE!” 

Lucifer became utterly desperate, screaming in horror and disbelief. His massive limbs and claws pointed at Anna as he attempted to attack her while she unleashed her technique, pushing his regeneration to its limits to regrow flesh and muscle fiber. He sprouted dozens of muscular, demonic arms, swinging them toward her. 

“{Soul-Devouring Demonic Fist}!” 

BOOOM! BOOOM! BOOOM! BOOOM! 

Anna took all four blows head-on without retreating, each strike tearing a piece of her soul. But Anna’s soul had evolved into an entirely new form. Her eyes shone brightly as she smiled confidently. 

“Bad choice.” 

“BAD CHOICE?! I TOOK PIECES OF YOUR SOUL! HAHAHA! KEEP PRETENDING, I’LL DEVOUR THEM TO—GUUGH?!” 

The moment he tried to devour her soul fragments, Lucifer felt an excruciating pain in his guts—his real guts, within his true Demonic Body in his own Realm.

He vomited blood, realizing his insides were melting as the soul fragments he attempted to consume shone brightly. 

[The Fourth Wall is trembling.]

“W-What is this?! AAAAGGH!” 

He screamed in agony, witnessing countless letters, pages, and words—his entire life, reality itself, all written in a book encompassing everything he believed to exist and what was yet to come.

This story was so vast that not even a Void Ruler could devour it, and he thought he could? 

“Fool.” 

Anna’s soul fragments glowed brilliantly, detonating within Lucifer’s True Stomach and dealing direct damage to his true form, not just his vessel! 

“{Myriad Self Arts}: {Soul Ego Explosion}!” 

BOOOM! BOOOM! BOOOM! BOOOM! 

“AAAGGH?!” 

His vessel screamed in agony, suddenly growing much weaker as the energies from his true self dwindled. 

“Looks like that worked… Ah! What happened? Where did that attitude from before went?” 

Anna mocked him further, enraging the King of All Demons. This was no longer a game for him! The sacrifice of the Heavenly Demon had already wounded his true soul, and now Anna had exacerbated that injury! 

“Y-YOU DAMN BITCH…! YOU AND THIS ENTIRE WORLD…! I’LL DESTROY YOU ALL!!!” 

He roared, charging toward Anna. His giant body quickly developed black and red scales, and countless heads of dinosaurs and reptiles sprouted from his form.

He unfurled several draconic wings, and though his body was monstrous and chimeric, it resembled an aberrant, demonic dragon. 

“{Seven-Headed Demonic Dragon}!” 

Anna’s eyes widened as she felt an immense pressure emanating from his enormous, grotesque form. His jaws opened, unleashing seven breath attacks against her simultaneously. 

“He became the seven-headed dragon already?!” 

She knew quite a bit about Lucifer. After all, he was one of the foes her brother had fought in the original novel, the strongest of all demons. With over ten transformations and a battle spanning nearly a hundred chapters, he was feared for both his might and his near-indestructible nature.

Readers at the time had dubbed him “Cockroach” due to his resilience, akin to that of a cockroach.

His Seven-Headed Dragon form was actually his seventh form, meaning that unleashing it so quickly indicated his desperation.

Anna felt Gram glowing brightly. Though he had been in slumber since their last conversation, she could sense his hunger within him.

Lucifer’s powers were weakening, so this…
