Monthly update!!!

For this month, I added a music manager (denoted by one of FoiFoi's stickers in the air there) that can be configured with a track list that can simply be selected by walking over a volume somewhere in the level, allowing us to call the music manager in other blueprints and have an actual transition between music when we enter the boss fight!! Monthly update!!

Dev log 1 (of many to come?)

Think we could post when we work on some cool stuff and show the process behind it. It took me a while to fully understand and now I am a master of dynamic parameters!!

Basically the slash effect uses a texture that only has a Red and Green channel: the Green is used for the black areas and the red is used for the emissive which has a colour that can be changed via the Particle Color node. I added an extra effect to the attack to jazz it up a bit, and now it is my favourite one to use and over-use in a combo lol

Frieda (WIP)

Frieda is a character that I wanted to make that's like the "Magnus" to Rutie's "Pit," like how in Uprising there's one super strong human that's managing to hold their own against the underworld, Frieda could be a super strong human that's so good at punching Remnants she simply does not die

She's simply built different

After a certain point in the story, it would be cool if you can run into her again under special conditions and have her join you in some levels!

Quick Reminder

Rutie hops up into the air and shoots downwards, lifting enemies straight up into the air (at the moment!). A grounded enemy is launched and the aerial version is meant to ground-bounce, but we are currently working on implementing ground bouncing into our system!

This move will also be included in the next build.

Witch Blast

One of Triburst's aerial-only moves. Rutie flips forward, shooting in a wide area around her, launching enemies caught in the blast! Very useful for some aerial repositioning and it feels real good to use in a combo. Also HEAVILY inspired by Noel Vermillion's Revolver Blast lol

March Update!

Hey everyone, been a few weeks already and we're making good progress! Here's the March Update comin at you hot!

First order of business: added two new moves to the roster: Witch Blast and Quick Reminder. They're both Triburst moves as we work towards filling out Triburst's movelist first! Patron-post coming with more details on these moves and some background into what other moves we have planned for Triburst.

Rutie Swimsuit + Update

Working on some updates, here's Rutie in the Gris Swimsuit. An unlockable skin perhaps???

Wondering if it would be smart to start doing Monthly Updates, as I've seen some other games do, like a big post that compiles all that was worked on that month and what our current situation is and everything. Things are looking better this month so I am inclined to do so!

Realm Splitter

In Blade mode, pressing Back + Attack has you strike downwards, bringing enemies to the ground and knocking them away with a powerful blast at the end from your Broom!

Ley Line

In Blade mode, inputting Forward + Attack has Rutie shoot her gun and dive forward, tackling enemies in the way. Any enemy that is currently airborne is launched further, but it only stuns grounded enemies!

Ice Blast

Caster's 4-shot attack string can be interrupted by using a Special attack at any point during the string to fire off a new spell. Using Special after the first shot shoots a short-ranged Ice Blast that lingers for a couple of seconds and freezes the enemy in place for a short while!

The momentum and knockback of the last attack used before Ice Blast wears off will be applied after the freeze period ends.
