It had cute, short blonde hair, adorable blue eyes, big lips, and was wearing a pink princess dress with a little crown over her head.

The egg hatched a little princess.

But I quickly caught her little body—she looked rather fragile.

She was honestly really cute.

“What do you mean, ‘what can I do,’ miss giantess?” She muttered with a confused look. “I’m a mere princess—I can’t do much… Wait, if only I had Felicidad, my Fairy, I could probably transform into different outfits! They do grant me special abilities, but— Uh?” 

As she seemed to want to do something, her own innate powers reacted, and a floating… golden block appeared, with a “¿?” sign on top. 

“A Question Block?! I made that?!” 

“Eh? You did… What does it do?” 

“If you jump into it like this…!” 

She jumped, hitting the block with her head. 

Ouch, that didn’t hurt?

Suddenly, the question block turned brown, and something emerged from it—a red acorn with two little black eyes. 

“Here it is! A Power Acorn! If I eat this, I can… Like this!” 

She caught it and ate it in a single bite. Wow, she’s got an appetite. 

“There it is! I shall now become bigger!” 

She began growing as her entire body released rainbow light.

“Eh? No way! I’m no bigger than a dog like this!” 

She wasn’t that big… 

“Uuggh… How can I go back to my Kingdom like this— Wait, where am I, though?!” 

“Your Kingdom… I don’t think it might even be in our world. It could be another dimension entirely. I’m sorry.”

She panicked midway through her sentence as Vulcan started licking her hair while Kirby seemed to be touching her with his little tentacle hand. 

“W-What are these creatures, lady giantess?! Are they going to eat me?!” she cried. 

“No, don’t worry, they’re my pets…” I said. “I used an egg to bring you here, but it seems you’re not exactly a pet either—a person. So I’ll treat you as one.” 

“Ah, thank you! I’m so relieved you’re a reasonable person!” She sighed in relief. “Um, Pomelo is fine…” 

“So Princess isn’t your first name?” I asked. 

“Of course not! I was given this name by the people who raised me, the Acornlings… I grew up in that Kingdom, far from my own home, Earth,” she said. “Since then, I’ve been protecting them and growing our Kingdom one step at a time…” 

“Wait, Earth? So you were also sent to another world randomly?” I wondered. 

“Ah? Yes… years ago, when I was but a baby, though…” she muttered. “I have no idea how I landed there. If it hadn’t been for the Acornlings, I would’ve… well, you know.” 

“Indeed… This seems rather interesting,” I said. “Alright, I’ll name you Pomelo then. Let’s see if that changes anything…” 

As I nodded, I quickly named her.
