OP Sister Chapter 414: The Eye Of The Reader

Song unleashed everything he had, growing frustrated by the Spherical Demon’s struggle even in its last moments of life. He unleashed all his power at once through his Aura and the Skill he had obtained through Anna’s sponsorship—the [Divine Dao Child of Fate Aura] Skill—to completely fill the Spherical Demon’s Void Stomach with so much energy it would ultimately explode, unable to adapt to or absorb it completely. 

BOOOMMM!!! 

And he did so rather successfully, though it brought forth such a gigantic explosion that space itself shattered into countless fragments around them. The void, sent flying away, consumed the remaining demons, disintegrating them to an almost subatomic level. 

Anna had warned him not to do such a reckless thing, but the boy hadn’t listened to her—perhaps driven to madness by the Demonic Cursed Seals and the intensity of his emotions, which he couldn’t handle properly. 

“U-ugh…” 

Song slowly opened his eyes, finding himself within a completely black space. A huge crack in this darkness led to a blue sky and white clouds—home. 

“W-Where am I?” 

He looked around, realizing he had “fallen” out of the sky—but not into his own world’s oceans. 

Out of the world itself. 

“A-Aaaah!” 

His eyes widened in awe and horror at the same time as he saw an endless cosmos of stars, black holes, planets, worlds, and twisting dimensional storms across an infinite landscape. 

“T-This is…?! Where… where am I?!” 

He glanced back, realizing the hole he had fallen through was slowly closing! 

“No!” 

He rushed back as quickly as he could, but merely moving through this strange space hurt his entire body—it felt incredibly dense! 

“Uuggh…! Oof!” 

“S-Song!” 

Anna’s voice echoed through his mind. His armor was tattered but remained alive somehow, mostly thanks to his own energies keeping it intact. 

“Anna?! You’re still here with me?” 

“I told you that you shouldn’t have done that, you idiot!” 

“I-I’m sorry! I was reckless…!” 

“Hurry, we have to get through that portal!” 

“Yeah!” 

Song and Anna pushed forward, their powers combining as Song was covered by a veil of cosmic light, making it much easier to traverse this strange place. 

“Anna, what is this place?!” 

“Don’t look back!” 

“Huh?” 

“I told you not to look—” 

TRUUUM! 

“Ugh?!” 

But Song looked back, noticing something enormous that had been hiding in plain sight. 

Something so gigantic, endlessly twisting through the void and the cosmos, that Song could have sworn it was just part of the background—just how space looked to him. 

But this was somewhat artificial, creating a strange, unnerving feeling like nothing before: twisting mechanical parts, wires, and monstrous electronic components constantly spinning and swirling within the endless void. 

And countless artificial eyes glaring at him… 

Song didn’t need to ask what it was, though. He had already faced one of its eyes—that thing that had breached into his world. 

[The {Universal Computer} is glaring at you directly.]

[Its endless wires move through space and the void, slowly trying to find you.] 

“It’s the…!” 

“The Void Ruler! Yeah!” 

Anna quickly manifested out of Song’s armor as she drew a surge of power from her main body. 

“Go, Song! Don’t look back!” 

“E-Eh?! Anna!” 

“You can’t possibly attempt to fight this thing! You’ll die!” 

Anna gathered her cosmic power and manifested a massive hand, throwing Song through the cosmos. He barely managed to pass through the hole before it closed. 

“Annaaaaaaa!” 

As the hole sealed shut, Anna’s ego faced the gigantic void dweller. Its mechanical tentacles were about to reach her, its countless eyes glaring. 

Though she had faced the Bleeding Scream within a Soul Scape, facing a Void Ruler in its physical form this close—and within its own territory… 

She had to admit, this was never part of her plans. 

[The {Universal Computer} wonders about your own existence.]

[“Who are you?” “What are you?” “How could you stop my invasion?” “What do you plan?” “Why do you care about them?” “Why do you know so much?” “Who are you working for?”] 

Anna felt a rain of countless questions weighing down her mind. Even though this was just her Ego, the pain slightly transferred to her body. 

The horror, the sense of pure dread—everything was tremendously horrifying! 

“Shut up!” Anna roared angrily. “You think I’ll answer any of those questions?!” 

[The {Universal Computer} is glancing at your soul.]

[“Then I will simply glare at your very mind and soul, worm.”] 

RUMBLE!

“Agh?!” 

Anna felt a tremendous, sharp pain. She had planned to detonate this Ego and simply leave, but the Void Ruler’s presence had completely paralyzed it! 

The giant mechanical, artificial eyes tried to peer into her soul, seeking answers to the questions it had asked! 

“Stop! Stop, you piece of junk! I’m going to fucking kill you!” 

Yin cried angrily. Her personality was much nastier than the original Anna’s and threatening a Void Ruler only made the Universal Computer laugh. 

Her mind rapidly began to twist as her perception of reality started to melt. Her senses suddenly appeared within her own soul as countless mechanical wires tried to infiltrate it, attempting to see everything. 

“FUCKING BITCH, STOP!” 

Anna attacked directly, but the Void Ruler quickly pushed her down with immense power! Being so close to it meant the Void Ruler suffered hardly any penalty. 

“STAY STILL, WORM.” 

The electromagnetic, mechanical tentacles wrapped around her entire Soul Avatar, electrifying it and making her scream in agony. 

“Uuuaaagggh! Aaaaggghh!” 

Completely helpless, Anna was left for the Void Ruler to inspect as it pleased. 

“I SHALL NOW LEARN THE SECRETS BEHIND YOUR STRANGE EXISTENCE!” 

As its artificial eyes began trying to read through all of Anna’s information, they glowed red, constantly scanning more and more. 

As it read, its surroundings slowly started to transform. Anna herself couldn’t quite understand what she was seeing either. 

Countless letters appeared—pages of a book constantly moving, flickering. The Void Ruler found itself floating above these pages, the words rotating around it. 

“WHAT IS THIS?! IT MAKES NO SENSE! WHAT…?!” 

“W-What the fuck is going on?” 

Not even Anna could understand, but something deep within her—within her very existence—started to rapidly manifest. These words, these pages, her knowledge—it all emerged as an endless book. 

Yes, the novel itself that Anna had read in her previous life, before transmigrating as that novel’s character. 

“I AM… PART OF A BOOK?! WHAT…?! NO… THIS—THIS IS…!” 

The Universal Computer couldn’t comprehend this—that everything within its own existence was nothing but written text. It challenged its very perception of reality and understanding of the cosmos. 

“It’s the novel I read… What the—” 

As Anna wondered what was happening, the Void Ruler’s entire soul avatar began to shake. Its mechanical parts started breaking apart—wires exploding, electricity zapping out of its broken circuits, and more. 

“I CANNOT… PROCESS…!” 

Void Rulers fed on the largest of stories—entire worlds. They were the biggest predators in the Cosmos, their appetite so vast that only devouring worlds’ worth of Stories could remotely satisfy them. 

So when it began to devour Anna’s Story, it found itself within a paradox. It was consuming a Story that encompassed the entire world it lived in—too much even for a being of its caliber to handle. 

“G-GRAAAAGGH! AAAAGGGHHHH!” 

Amidst the pages of the book, a gigantic blue and golden eye manifested, glaring at the Void Ruler. Anna felt connected to it—to this eye. 

It was… as if it were her own. 

[The Unknown-Level Trait: [Reader] has manifested its true power.] 

As the eye glared at the Void Ruler, the pages of the book and its letters encompassed its mechanical body, beginning to… 

Devour it! 

“AAAAAGGGH! AAARRRGGGHH!” 

The Void Ruler screamed in horror, rapidly retreating from Anna’s soul before it could take any more damage—though its very soul had already been bitten. 

“YOU’RE A MONSTER! YOU INCOMPREHENSIBLE PARADOX!!!” 

As the Universal Computer vanished from Anna’s soul, her Ego regained consciousness. Yin saw the gigantic monstrosity suffering—large parts of its body exploding and falling apart. 

“UUUAAAGGH! IT HURTS…! IT HURTS! DAMAGED… TOO MUCH DAMAGE FROM MERELY…! UUGGGHH!” 

It continued groaning across the cosmos, the empty void shaking with its agonizing screams. Yet this pain only fueled more hatred towards Anna than ever before. 

“I’LL ELIMINATE YOU! FOR DARING TO INFLICT SO MUCH PAIN ON ME, YOU MUST BE ELIMINATED!” 

The monstrous entity rushed back toward Anna, its gigantic body aiming to crush her to death and, through her Ego, target her soul! 

Though Anna could somehow do what she just did if her soul was invaded, nothing protected her from being crushed physically—or having her soul shattered. 

“Hah, I don’t even know what the hell happened but go fuck yourself.” 

Anna’s Ego, Yin, smiled viciously at the Universal Computer. 

As the tentacles were about to crush her, she released all her energy and exploded. 

BOOOMMM!!! 

The explosion seemed big, but it was barely anything against the Void Ruler, who glared with fury and anger at the flames burning it—flames that quickly disappeared. 

“THAT WORLD… I WILL DEVOUR IT! AND THAT GIRL… I WILL ELIMINATE HER!” 

The mechanical tentacles rushed toward the cracks it had created with great effort in the dimensional boundaries of Bestia, attempting once more to forcefully invade it… 

What this thing wasn’t aware of was that the darkness within this void—the abyss itself—was slowly moving toward it. Swirling dark tentacles constantly spun around, and crimson eyes glared at the mechanical being. 

Seemingly mixing and merging with the void and darkness, not even other Void Rulers could detect it as easily. As it moved, dimensional waves spread silently. 

Like a hunter slowly creeping toward its prey.
