The Heavenly Martial Empress Returns Chapter 269: Djet-Ka's Ruthlessness

Author's Note: I think I found the best theme for the Egyptians here:
Listen While Reading: Absolute Maker (Instrumental)

After a battle between Redeye and Bloodclaw broke out due to a difference in ideologies and the death of Bloodclaw’s fleet and the Saurian God’s vessel, Redeye seemed to be losing.

Bing Xue, however, knew that it wasn’t going to end so easily, as Djet-Ka, a member of the Ancient Egyptians from the Parallel Timeline where they became an advanced space-faring civilization, immediately broke their battle with the power of his Machine God.

“{Nile’s Flood}!”

By releasing a giant tsunami of fresh water, which washed away both Bloodclaw and Redeye, who actually seemed not that good at swimming at all.

SPLAAASH!

“Uuggh! L-Lord Djet! Why?! Aghh!”

“Aaaggh! Uugh! Dammit!”

Both Redeye and Bloodclaw were sent flying away, landing far away within the large, expansive area. They coughed up water while looking shaken away by the powerful splash of water that completely overwhelmed them.

Bing Xue immediately guessed things had become much more serious now, with Bloodclaw confronting Redeye and then winning in a battle of psychic powers, and Djet-Ka interfering; it was only escalating more and more.

“Hoh? Was that all it took to defeat you, Bloodclaw? Hmph! Redeye, it seems she is indeed quite the weakling at the end… Hahaha!” Djet-Ka laughed. “Well, not even you were strong either, so are all Saurians just weaklings?”

Djet-Ka glared around, noticing most of the Saurians still coughing water; some were unconscious; they were washed away by his attack.

He couldn’t have cared less if innocent people got caught up in it. Well, to him these Saurians weren’t even people.

“I-I can’t… I can’t move…?!”

Bloodclaw was shocked she couldn’t lift herself up; her limbs constantly trembled, as the water soaking her only drained her energies faster the more she moved.

“I wouldn’t recommend doing that; once you’re soaked in Khnum’s Nile Waters, your body will be paralyzed and weakened! So stand still; if you’re a rebel, then I shall end this quickly for you. Khnum, finish her off!”

The “Nile’s Flood” ability was only one of the many his Machine God possessed and among the weakest that he could unleash. The water wasn’t just water, as it weakened foes that were soaked in it for a few minutes and made it hard for them to move at all.

FLUOSH!

The giant mechanical arms manifested out of strange portals by the side of Djet-Ka, as they rushed towards Bloodclaw, the Saurian woman’s eyes widening in horror.

“Aaaah!”

As she screamed, Bing Xue was about to go; however, someone had already begun moving before she even decided to step into the battle.

“{Ra’s Solar Spear}!”

FLASH!

“Huh?!”

Out of nowhere, a giant, blazing spear rushed towards Khnum’s mechanical arms, stopping them from reaching Bloodclaw and releasing a loud explosion of flames!

BOOOM!

“Nnggh?!”

Djet-Ka groaned in surprise and pain as the flames’ heat was so intense he felt like he was being cooked alive. His mechanical god quickly wrapped him in a veil of water, protecting him from the intense heat.

“W-What was that?!”

He panicked, his eyes widening as he suddenly saw a beautiful Egyptian Princess in front of him, protecting Redeye and Bloodclaw from her family member’s ruthlessness.

To her left and right sides, two huge golden and red-colored mechanical arms had manifested, holding a massive spear made of blazing fire and solar energy.

“I’m sorry, Bing Xue, but I had to step in… If it’s my family stirring trouble again, I have to take responsibility. Please, let me take care of him.”

She looked at Bing Xue as she and her family made themselves visible; Djet-Ka’s eyes continued widening as he realized the young woman before him was Princess Merneith, who had gone missing a while ago, and those watching from above seemed even more suspicious.

“Y-You’re Merneith?!” He gasped.

“Hello, uncle,” Merneith sighed as she looked at Bloodclaw and Redeye. “Is this what you’re doing now after betraying my mother?”

“Y-You damn rascal! Where have you been this entire damn time?! And you took Ra with you! Just who in Ennead do you think you are?! You’re coming with me right away, and you’re giving back Ra to your stepmother!” Djet-Ka roared angrily, glaring at Merneith with hatred.

“I would gladly return, but not yet,” Merneith sighed. “It’s too soon, and I have to amass more power and plan more carefully.”

“Huh?” Djet-Ka glared at Merneith with disbelief. “What are you even talking about?!”

“Those that came after me were already defeated and are currently imprisoned,” said Merneith. “And you too will join them, uncle. Your Machine God will also become mine.”

“Hah… Hahahahaha!”

Djet-Ka began to laugh, completely in disbelief of Merneith’s words.

“Are you delusional or something?! Do you truly believe you can somehow overthrow the Sun Empire?! Now that we’ve begun our expansion across space and time, we’ll eventually conquer all of reality!” Laughed Djet-Ka. “What can YOU even accomplish? Or your stupid band of misfits? Are those your friends? So stupid!”

“I’ve had enough of your words…” Merneith sighed. “The only stupid person here is you! But not just stupid, but cruel… Is this how you treat your own allies, uncle?” She looked at Redeye. “She almost died because of you!”

“Well, that would’ve been just collateral damage…” Her uncle smiled confidently.

“And what about everyone else in here?!” Merneith asked.

Djet looked around at the Saurians, who had taken the same attack head-on, groaning in pain and coughing water.

“Collateral damage too… Like it matters! Do you think anybody would care if they died either way? Stop being so stupid and look at the big picture!” Djet smiled. “Even if they knew I was blatantly lying, what could they even do?! The Saurians depend on us for a lot of things; they wouldn’t want to risk our alliance breaking apart for a few… useless ones.”

“U-Useless ones?” Redeye gasped. “B-But master Djet…! Ugh…! Bloodclaw! You dragged me into this!”

“I simply told you the truth!” Bloodclaw groaned. “He would’ve done this eventually; look at his face! Does he look like someone that even sees us as people?! You idiot!”
