The ball joint has some built in support structure, so it can retain its roundness. It will still require supports for the rest of the pegs. It is advisable to print the ball joint with as many perimeters as possible, in order to withstand torque. Higher infill will not make it stronger, perimeter walls will. Some trimming and sanding is required for this part.

UPDATED FIGURE STAND THAT CAN BE USED FOR MOST ACTION FIGURES.
Minimum scale is 1/12. You can scale it up as big as you want, provided you can find the appropriate ziptie sizes. If you can't find bigger zipties, try strapping multiple small zipties in every slot.
