I've owned the games but I played only a little bit of the first. I quit playing early on because it's not my preferred way to game, but I knew what was going to happen and what's about to happen. Too many pods and IGN discussions spoiled everything when the games were out. But this is probably the last season unless they try to build a part three after this point that goes beyond the games.

2025-05-09 17:11:19 +0000 UTCHaving played the game, I was very surprised that they followed through on Joel's fate the same way, like it was in the beginning of the game (The Last of Us Part 2). A lot of people did not want to play the game any further and were outraged. There were even death threats to the game creator and the voice actor of Abby. You even play as Abby in the game at certain points, which pissed some people off. But I must say, they did a phenomenal job at recreating the events in the game, even as far as some of the same camera shots. All I needed was a controller in my hand. Do NOT give up on the story. If the rest of the season is anything like the game, you are in for a hell of a ride.
