This won our sci-fi poll, but Mars Attacks and Ex Machina were both only a few votes behind. 2025-07-04 04:10:50 +0000 UTCPhilip K Dick is an interesting writer. Most of the movie adaptations need to tone down his wildness. A Scanner Darkly (2006) is probably the closest a movie has got to the feeling of reading his work. A movie dealing with similar themes to Minority Report is Deja Vu (also 2006) which I always misremember as being based on one of Dick’s short stories. You’d definitely enjoy Deja Vu which stars Denzel Washington and was directed by Tony Scott (Ridley’s brother).
