Netflix Canada has the theatrical, thank Christ. The Torrent for it, is UUUUUUUUUNNNNNNfindable.........yikes.

A lot of those channels eventually have their entire catalogue taken away without warning. I find it extremely unlikely that major channels like HBO or Netflix or whatever would be cool with paying hundreds of millions of dollars for content only for a streamer to rip it and show the entire thing.

Let's get Step Brothers soon!

Fun movie and cast! (I don't envy trying to edit the end credits for YouTube though. 😄)

Doug

There was a YouTube window covering the second half of the thumbnail and I momentarily thought it was Supergirl (1984) 😂

Hey addie could u put american pie on a pole soon it's a comedy like this one if u've not ever seen it?

Patreon mostly relies on copyright holders to report infringements instead of using automated systems. That means accounts posting full-length reactions with the full movie or show visible can sometimes go years without any issues, unless a copyright holder files a complaint. When that happens, Patreon checks the DMCA claim to make sure it’s legit before taking action, like removing the content or suspending the account. Patreon simply doesn’t use automated systems or actively monitor for copyright infringement, which is how some channels get away with posting full movie or show reactions. It’s definitely not legal, and they’re still risking their channels, but a lot of them have managed to get away with it for years. That doesn’t mean it’ll stay that way, though. In the past few days a bunch of Patreon reactors have been trying out picture-in-picture reactions. Some are even uploading two versions to see what sticks, sync and picture-in-picture. Feels like they’re testing the waters to see how far they can push things before it pushes back.

I find that hard to believe since I’m talking about big channels like Alex Hefner. Also like 3 of the Patreon reaction channels including Alex stopped blurring around the same time, that’s what leads me to believe something changed. But maybe they all stopped giving a heck lol

Berlynn MacPherson

Not it's not legal. Fair use and the 1990s copyright laws are vastly different. Channels that show the whole film are an asshairs away from being cuaght and fined or taken down completely. Just because they are showing the movie does not mean they are being smart.

Thats MR. Baldamort

I'm not seeing anywhere where it's now allowed or changes. And yes other creators do show the whole movie. I just think they are taking a risk

Rich

I’m pretty sure you can legally now, I follow several other movie reaction patreons that have stopped doing the blurred timestamp thing and including the movie. It’s your channel obviously do your content however you want, I’ll keep watching either way!

Berlynn MacPherson

Happy Monday, Addie! I hope that you had a great day. 😊 I've only seen this movie a couple of times. From what I remember, I enjoyed it. For more hilarious Jonah Hill, I very highly recommend the 2012 "21 Jump Street" and the 2014 sequel "22 Jump Street". Definitely looking forward to watching this reaction later this evening. Have a great day today! 😊

Randee Carreno

I can't legally show the whole movie. I'm not going to risk losing my channel over that

Addie Counts

Oh, why?? It’s such a pain trying to find the same version and line up the timing and everything.

Berlynn MacPherson

I genuinely hope that never ever happens

Rich

The theatrical version is 1 hour and 53 minutes. I found that version for rent on Apple TV, Amazon, and Youtube.

Jeff I.

pleeeease start including the movie in your reactions - other Patreon accounts have started since the fair use laws changed.

Berlynn MacPherson

How long is the theatrical? Everything i see is 1h58m *theres a 4k by SLOT that is 1h53m for some of you looking

Chris

Happy Monday, Addie. I'm so glad that you enjoyed the theatrical cut of Superbad (2007). I'm definitely going to watch the Extended Cut tonight.
