From the moment we learn about his past and the sacrifices he made to defeat Homunculus, Ed and Al become nothing more than the hero's sons, who are also sacrifices because they saw the Truth. That's actually a problem. Even Ed's resentment towards him becomes silly and unfair.

2026-01-18 12:33:45 +0000 UTCEd basically pulled the real Salim out of pride. He learned to turn himself into a philosopher stone to do it. He learned this throughout the show. When he was injured battle Kimblee, he used his own soul to heal his wound, he self transmuted himself inside gluttony’s stomach, he manipulated his brothers soul in the beginning of the series, plus on top of that he could use his alchemy more effectively with scars reverse transmutation circle. Also he witnessed Marco defeat envy too.
