OPPENHEIMER - Full Length Reaction!

Here's the full length reaction to Oppenheimer! What an incredible movie! This was a long one, but the movie moved so quickly. I looked up the cast after the movie, and I didn't even realize that it was Gary Oldman who played Truman! Enjoy!

I do hope that she watches the 2017 Director's Cut of the movie should it win in a poll.

Here's a recommendation: "Saturday Night Fever" (1977) we were all about disco lol But the soundtrack is great!

BTW, I actually dressed up as Edward Teller during the bomb test for a Halloween get-together back in late October. However, much to my dismay, *none* of the people I interacted with in the hour or so that I was able to be there had seen the movie, thus, no one got the reference. πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ It didn't really help, either, that the hand lotion I was using instead of actual sunscreen kept seeping into my face much quicker than I expected. πŸ€”

This second comment should go under Rocky, but I may as well make it here. A few more boxing basics. I didn't want to overload with info the last time around, but a few more details may be helpful. There are usually three ring-side judges who watch the fight closely. Each round they'll assign points to each fighter for landed blows (this is one source of controversy because this is basically a series of judgement calls). At the end of each round, the judge assigns points to the winner of the round (whoever lands the most punches), and less points to the loser (I don't want to overwhelm with details, but you can look up the "10 point must system"). If the fight goes the distance, each judge will add up the points assigned, and that will determine the winner for that judge (ties are possible). The decisions for the judges are then tallied to determine the winner of the fight. You can have a unanimous decision if all the judges ruled the same way, or a split-decision if they did not. The fight can then end with a winner, or it can end in a draw. When the results are announced, they'll call out the tally for each judge, such as "Judge X scored the fight 96, 93 - Boxer B ...". That tells the audience that Judge X thought Boxer B won, and also the sum of the points the judge assigned to each boxer.

Here's a bit of fun context (admittedly, running fast and loose with "fun" given the subject matter). The bomb test took place during the summer of '45. A few months later, George Bailey went through his Christmastime crisis. A few years before, the von Trapp family were escaping Austria.
