Therefore, Rollo is able to devise more elaborate strategies. Ragnar's strategy was terrible! That's why Bjorn said it was his father's fault. Bjorn was naive to trust his uncle, certainly. But Ragnar, at his best, would have demolished him after his betrayal. And all of this is due to Athelstan's death. Ragnar claims that he's not motivated anymore because of his old age, but we all know how much he wanted to conquer Paris when he talked about it with his Christian friend.
