Second; pay attention to the colour of the lighting that appears when Hoenheim moves the earth to trap Pride. It's red. Back when Hoenheim first met Pride in the tunnels; all the lightning that appears around his alchemy is blue, which is the same as the lightning that appears when Ed, Al, Mustang, even Scar use their alchemy. Red lightning only appears when alchemy is used by the Homunculi and Kimblee In other words: blue lightning means that its alchemy being done by traditional means. Red lightning is the symbol that it's Philosophers Stone enhanced alchemy. Meaning that Hoenheim, for the first time in the series, was tapping into his Philosophers Stone power in order to help Als plan.
